Hullo from our new community this year ... 3 Marist Fathers (Chris & Dylan both from Bougainville & Oceania Province & me) plus a temporary visitor in Dominic Gibson (Kyogle-Woodlawn-Inverell fame) & currently four Brazilians in our second house including Paulo whom many know. A provincial chapter kicks off today in Sydney for the Australian Marist Fathers. Community member Fr Gerard Hall is attending, he joins Fr Robert Barber the Australian Provincial and Fr John Larsen Superior General to discuss the life of the society. May Mary guide their hearts.

To kick the Lenten season off we have had the Superior General staying with us on his visitation around the pacific. With some good old Aussie seafood, we attempted, as Francis urges, to warm our hearts with the fire of the spirit, in our wait for the risen Lord. God Bless.

Last weekend Fr Chris celebrated mass for the student leaders of the Marist schools in Queensland, at their annual gathering hosted by Marist Youth Ministry Brisbane (MYM). He asked the leaders to reflect upon who Jesus chose to begin his Church on earth, and if as modern Christians we could put down our nets and follow him?
