Today marks World Mental Health Day! 🧠 And this year's message is to make mental health and well-being for all a global priority.

Farmers like Beck know how important it is to enjoy the little things in life. That doesn't mean things are always easy. Dealing with disaster, the isolation of remote living and personal setbacks all take a huge toll on our bush communities. In May, we talked about the huge mental health crisis that threatens them. That crisis is ongoing.

And yet access to mental health services still falls shockingly short. This is why our Bush Chaplains and Outback Links volunteers are so needed right now. Their warm presence can be transformative for people in rural and remote areas who are on the brink. Let's work together to make mental health and wellbeing a reality for all, no matter where they live.

Congratulations Mrs James - 30 years of teaching

Today we recognised Mrs James for having over 30 years of teaching service with the Department of Education. I would like to personally thank Mrs James for everything she has done at Orchard Hills Public School over the years, along with the positive impact she has had on all the children within the school. We are so privileged to have her at our school. I would also like to recognise her ongoing passion and determination that she shows every day to get the most out of every student. Mrs James has created and maintained a supportive and safe learning environment for all students and is constantly implementing effective teaching strategies to further develop every child. Congratulations Mrs James and we look forward to many more great years ahead.
