A very special day at St Catherine’s today.

We were blessed to welcome His Grace Bishop Christophoros and his helpers from Sydney for a beautiful Divine Liturgy. Through the Gospel story of Jesus feeding the multitude with five loaves and two fish, we were gently reminded to place our trust in God, knowing that He provides abundantly.

It was also a day of wonderful celebrations as we shared in a 40-day baby blessing and a baptism. Such a beautiful reminder of the love, faith and strong sense of community we are so fortunate to share.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and blessed week ahead. 🙏

St Catherine’s was packed today with family and friends remembering one of our own who fell into eternal slumber a year ago, and another who left us just last month. A lovely day spent sharing memories and stories and love. Family travelled from near and far to be together today. We thank Fr Dimitri for his blessings and kind words, and Michael along with our own Christodoulos for filling the church with their beautiful voices and chanting. Missing from the chant stand was our dear friend Costa, who also left us last month. May their memories be eternal and may they rest peacefully.

A glorious Valentines Day in Orange for our liturgy yesterday - Thanks Fr Socrates and Raphael, and to our chanters Costa from Dubbo, and Christos for your beautiful voices, and for all the helpers at our little parish. We welcomed friends all the way from Wagga, and Canberra, as well as the usual gang from Orange and Bathurst. Have a blessed week.
