Yesterday I attended St. Barnabas Anglican Church to celebrate their 100th year anniversary. Fantastic to hear some history from those involved. St Barnabas contributes to the community in many ways. For instance, I used to take my children too ‘Mainly music’ a singing / story play group for very young children. Even more important in my opinion is 100 years of sharing the Gospel to those in Orange. Something that I think everyone should have the chance to hear and then do with as they wish.
On a more somber note, I have just finished work at the Wyla drug and alcohol detox. I saw this ABC article of 7 Australians dying everyday from drug overdoses. That number would be so much higher if you included the impact of ni****ne and the non-overdose drug linked deaths like cancer etc. The 11 patients I saw today don't deserve to die.
