What a wonderfully special day in the life of our church.
Ash, Summer and Willow (the dad and two daughters trio) braved the cold to declare publicly that Jesus is their Lord today.
Ash and the girls were baptised by Rev. Jonny in the Fish River with Family and Church family there to support them.
Then it was back for lunch and a communion service at St Stephen’s Tarana.
We are all so thankful for what God is doing in the life of our church.

We'd love you to join us for one or all of our Easter Services this year.
For something a little different, why not come and enjoy Church under the trees with us at St Barnabas' Oberon at 9 am on Good Friday? It'll be church in a relaxed atmostphere as we remember our Lord's Sacrifice for us.
Or celebrate the ressurection on Easter Sunday with us at 9am again at St Barnabas' Oberon or 2pm at St. Thomas' Hampton

Just a reminder that this wonderful event is on this Saturday at the Malachi.
Bring the family and join in the singing and the fun.

If you're in Oberon on Sunday December 14th, and are looking for a great community event to bring the family to, come along to the Malachi Gilmore Hall at 4pm to sing carols and hear music that relays the true message of Christmas.

"And who is my neighbour?"
Christians are called to love God and love our neighbour as ourself. Many of us will be famililiar with the Parable of the Good Samaritan, where Jesus finished by telling the teacher of the law to "go and do likewise", which we take to mean go and love the way the Samaritan loved. No small task.
The article below looks at the original language Jesus used, and is such an informed and different reading of the Parable of the Good Samaitan.
If you have 15 minutes to spare, This is an amazing take on this parable by someone who knows the original language very well, is entertaining and well written, and is well worth a read.
I know it'll make me think every time I read this parable in the future.

Rethinking the Good Samaritan: How Greek verb tenses in Luke 10:25-37 reveal we're meant to be the half-dead man, not the hero
