There’s work to be done and equipment to be sourced before we launch but progress is happening.

One of our church members, Hayley is heading to Cambodia in July with UPO (one of our mission arms Lifechurch Oberon support), below is one of the opportunities for support. The info below is written by Hayley herself:

My upcoming trip to Cambodia is with the organisation I volunteer with, Unity Project Organisation. Vision: Unity Project Organisation aims to support children and adults in developing the skills and confidence needed to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives within their villages. UPO drivers are education initiatives and community-led development as a means to combat child trafficking. The co-founders (my friends) and all UPO staff motivation stems from real stories of trafficked children and the struggles of underprivileged families they’ve encountered, inspiring their tireless efforts to create safer communities for vulnerable children.

One very recent need which has become apparent is the need for education around hygiene and nutrition and their importance for day to day development. As such UPO would like to put together approximately 30 Food/hygiene packs for our UPO families. Each pack will be approximately $35 USD/about $50 AUD. The three of us going from UPO Australia Team and the two Cambodian Case Workers on the ground will need to purchase items and put those packs together in Cambodia. We will only be able to visit a portion of these families ourselves but our staff on the ground can deliver the remaining packs during their caseworker visits. If you would like to donate towards the packs you can do so through the UPO website donate page. All donations are tax deductible.

This Saturday is Men's Breakfast at Lifechurch Oberon. All men welcome for some breakfast... company... chats..... 8am ~ Saturday 6 June 2026....
