This past week, we have given thanks for our wonderful Food Pantry volunteer, Ann, as she steps into retirement. Ann was part of the very first team that helped start the Food Pantry here in the Bay and Basin. With wisdom, grace, and steadfast faithfulness, she has served our community and supported so many along the way.

Your care and commitment have left a lasting mark -thank you, Ann. 🙏

We are celebrating six months since starting our Free Community Lunch. It has been such a joy to host a meal each Monday at the Wesley Centre, Nowra. Each week we see new connections forming and a welcoming community taking shape around a hearty meal. Our team loves serving and building community. All are welcome.

Our wonderful Wesley crafters have been busy knitting beanies, scarves, children’s wear and blankets to meet a variety of needs in our community. Some of our beanies have been donated to the Shoalhaven Cancer Clinic, others to the Shoalhaven Homeless Hub, with more items going to KOGO (Knit One Give One – an Australian charity that sends knitted items to communities and people in need).
We are so thankful for our faithful knitters who are quietly making a difference by bringing warmth, comfort and love to others in need.

Wesley Craft Group meets every Monday, 9am–12noon. Newcomers are very welcome — we’re friendly, relaxed, and we enjoy fun and encouraging each other.

At Shoalhaven Central Uniting Church, we’re looking forward to participating in next week’s World Day of Prayer services taking place across our region on Friday 6th March.

This year, the focus is on supporting and praying for women in Nigeria — standing together in faith, hope and solidarity.

Service details are as follows:

📍 Jervis Bay Baptist Church – 10:00am
📍 Nowra Salvation Army – 11:00am or 6:00pm

All are welcome. Come and be part of this beautiful global movement of prayer.

We had such a lovely morning in our Bay and Basin Tuesday Craft Group weaving earrings and keychain adornments! We also celebrated Ian’s amazing beanie knitting achievements while he was on holidays. A big thank you to Deb for bringing the weaving materials and being such a wonderful encourager.
