International Prayer Focus | September 2026

Each week, Salvationists around the world lift up the same territories in prayer. It's a simple practice that connects us across distance and time zones.

This month, we're praying for:
– Democratic Republic of Congo Territory (Aug 31 – Sep 6)
– Canada and Bermuda Territory (Sep 7–13)
– Switzerland, Austria and Hungary Territory (Sep 14–20)
– India South Western Territory (Sep 21–27)
– New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa Territory (Sep 28 – Oct 4)

Read through what they're asking for and you'll recognize most of it. Territories on opposite sides of the world are praying about cadets in training, young people weighing a call to officership, youth programs starting back after summer, and budgets that have to stretch further than they do.

When we pray for each other, we remember that no one serves alone.

By doing so, you’re helping make sure that The Salvation Army in Australia is accurately represented, whilst helping to tell the story of who we are and where we show up 🙏❤️

New Salvos research released today shows that the cost-of-living crisis is pushing families to breaking point 💔 Almost 9 in 10 parents surveyed said they're going without food so their kids can eat, and 1 in 5 parents said their children went without food for an entire day in the past 12 months.

Our kids learnt about being wise like the person who builds their house on rock. And how unwise people build their house on sand. Their pictures of both are below. Let’s all be wise people who listen to God’s word and let it impact our lives. Not just hear but make no changes. Kids church is during our Sunday morning meeting. See you next week.
