Northmead Uniting Church A community of God's people that seeks to share the struggle and joy of live and experience Christ's hope and healing among us.

We have groups and activities that seek to promote relationships with one another and God, the source of all being. We desire to grow in spiritual maturity through reflection, meditation and conversations that explore our questions, doubts and hopes. This Sunday is Trinity Sunday. The Rev. Geoff Stevenson has called his reflection "The connected Web of Mystery and Wonder - that holds everything in love". God is a mystery and the way we think of God is more than we can understand. Let Geoff unpack some of these things for us.

We celebrate Pentecost, when the disciples and followers of Jesus were gathered together awaiting the promised gift of the Spirit to come to them . There was a sound like wind and something like tongues of fire fill their room.The wind and spirit on the move. It was and is a power that transforms people and communities, as the flow of love and justice, wonder and hope, joy and mercy, floods life.

This week, the 3rd week after Easter, The Rev. Geoff Stevenson is reflecting on the Luke:24 story of the two men who were walking to Emmaus on the 3rd day after Easter and were joined by a stranger, whom became a travelling companion whom they didn't recognise at the time. Geoff has titled his reflection "The boulevard of broken dreams". Jesus was a companion on their journey. Geoff challenges us, can we be a companion on the journey of others.
