Alphonsa Syro Malabar parish is the Faithful of the Syro-Malabar Church, which is an Oriental (Eastern Rite) Catholic Church, in full communion with the Church of Rome. It is the second largest of the 22 Oriental Catholic Churches with over 4 million vibrant believers worldwide. These Syro-Malabar Catholic parish members are predominantly settled in different Northern suburbs around Brisbane. The

Syro-Malabar Catholic Church believers who were residing in these suburbs gathered together as early as 2007.

🙏✨ Corpus Christi Procession 2026 ✨🙏

Today, our parish community was blessed to participate in the Corpus Christi Procession at St Stephen’s Cathedral, Brisbane.

With hearts united in faith and devotion, we accompanied our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, publicly witnessing our love for Christ and celebrating His Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist.

A sincere thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped make this beautiful day a prayerful and memorable experience. May the blessings of our Eucharistic Lord continue to guide and strengthen our families and parish community.

Today, our parish family gathered with gratitude and love to bid farewell to Fr. Varghese Vithayathil MST as he begins a new mission.

We thank him for his years of dedicated service, spiritual guidance, prayers, and unwavering support to our community. His leadership has strengthened our faith and touched countless lives.

May God bless him abundantly in his new journey and continue to guide him in His ministry.

Bible Kalolsavam was conducted on 9th and 10th May at St Alphonsa Syro Malabar Catholic Church Brisbane with great enthusiasm, faith, and participation from our children and youth. 🌸

The two-day event was filled with inspiring performances, Bible-based competitions, and joyful fellowship, helping everyone grow deeper in faith and knowledge of God’s Word. 🙏

A heartfelt thanks to all the participants, parents, teachers, coordinators, and volunteers who made this event a beautiful success. May God continue to bless all the young talents abundantly. ✝️
