Introducing LHPC’s Pastoral Team
Following the amalgamation of our Silverwater, North Sydney and Greenwich congregations in 2025, LHPC are grateful for a wonderfully enriched pastoral team.
Our team consists of Rev Steve Oh, Rev Steve Pym, Rev John Buchanan, Rev Mike Yoon (Hope Youth) and Mr Ericles Chi (Hope Kids). They share in the shepherding of our congregation from children to adults and we are blessed by their varying gifts in preaching and pastoral care.

On the 17th of August, SLHCC amalgamated with North Sydney and Greenwich Presbyterian Church to form Living Hope Presbyterian Church.

We now meet together at North Sydney (234 Blues Point Road, North Sydney) - 3 congregations who have joined together as 1. Please pray for our church as we continue to grow in fellowship together.

And if you would like to visit, you are more than welcome to do so. Our service times are 10am and 12pm.

🌃 Evening Worship Update 🌃
We were blessed to have Pastor Paul preach on the biblical theme of weakness this past month. His sermon series titled: "The Way of Weakness" has helped people understand how God often uses our weakness to shape us in more ways than none. The next sermon series will be preached by Pastor Mike titled: “Surprised by Fear”. He will take us through the theology of fear and the intriguing paradox of the Gospel that frees us from our fears whilst giving us fear. Join us at 5pm service as we explore the fascinating dynamic of fear in Scripture and our lives.

As 2024 draws to a close, SLHCC look forward to and invite you to our annual Christmas lunch.

Our theme for this year is “Thanksgiving”. Join us on the 7th of December to enjoy good food, wholesome fellowship and a joyous time to celebrate everything God has done for us this year with thanksgiving!

Where: Merrylands Presbyterian Church; 303 Merrylands Rd, Merrylands NSW 2160.

🌃 Evening Worship Update 🌃
It’s been a huge joy to gather at 5pm every Sunday! Our hope and prayer at our evening service is to see more people “ascribe to the Lord glory due His name” (Psalm 29:1). Our pastors, Steve, Paul and Mike, are currently preaching through the Letter to the Philippians. Those who have been joining regularly have come to know our humble redeemer Jesus who radically renews our lives including our relationships, our joy, our identity and our hope. We have also been blessed to have dedicated members serving us during worship including Rachel, Justin, Dominic and Victor. They have been faithfully helping us with our music and the audio-visuals. Praise God for their support! The next preaching series will be a mini-series that will be preached by Paul titled: “The Way of Weakness” Please join us in prayer with the hope of seeing more people be gathered for the Lord and moved by His grace.
