Yesterday marked the 1 year anniversary of our amalgamation as we became LHPC.
We marked the day with joy filled worship as we witnessed the baptism of two adults and the confirmation of two adults. We also took a commemorative group photo before joining together for morning tea.
We praise and thank God for His faithfulness over the past year, and look forward to they way He will continue to work among us and through us into the years ahead!

LHPC Day Out 🧺🍂
This past long weekend, our church family enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship, food and fun at our LHPC Day Out. The day involved bubbles, bikes, banter and bangers (no mash) and we’re grateful to all who organised and attended this wonderful day enjoying one other’s company and God’s creation.

The Sacraments | At LHPC, we regularly join in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper and joyfully celebrate the baptism of both infants and adults as a congregation. As we joined in communion yesterday we reflected on the significance of the sacraments as shown in Joshua 5. On the banks of the river Jordan, God commanded the new generation of Israelite men to be circumcised and the people were to join in their first Passover meal with unleavened bread made from the produce of the Promised Land. They were to engage in these sacraments, not to earn their entry into the land of God’s promises fulfilled, but to express their utter reliance on God’s provision alone. We share Pastor Steve Oh’s final exhortation from the sermon: “So rest in Christ alone. While sacraments don’t in themselves, save, they point us away from hope in ourselves to hope in God alone.”

Introducing LHPC’s Pastoral Team
Following the amalgamation of our Silverwater, North Sydney and Greenwich congregations in 2025, LHPC are grateful for a wonderfully enriched pastoral team.
Our team consists of Rev Steve Oh, Rev Steve Pym, Rev John Buchanan, and Mr Ericles Chi (Hope Kids). They share in the shepherding of our congregation from children to adults and we are blessed by their varying gifts in preaching and pastoral care.

On the 17th of August, SLHCC amalgamated with North Sydney and Greenwich Presbyterian Church to form Living Hope Presbyterian Church.

We now meet together at North Sydney (234 Blues Point Road, North Sydney) - 3 congregations who have joined together as 1. Please pray for our church as we continue to grow in fellowship together.

And if you would like to visit, you are more than welcome to do so. Our service times are 10am and 12pm.
