Dear Friends,
Thank you for your prayers and support for the Biblical Science Institute. We have reached so many people with the message that God’s Word is true from the beginning! In the past few weeks, I have had the opportunity to speak at a church in Idaho, another in Virginia, and one here in Colorado Springs. All these events were well attended, and God’s people were encouraged.
On the website, we have a new article on Christian cults – those organizations that profess to be Christian but deny one or more essential doctrines. The article was written by Christy Darlington who is the director of Witnesses for Jesus – a non-profit Christian ministry that helps people get out of cults and come to know the real Jesus as Lord and Savior. Christy is an expert on how to refute the false teachings of Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses. So, I asked her to write a couple of articles for us to help equip Christians to graciously reach those who are trapped in false theology. Part 1 is already posted, and Part 2 will be coming soon.
I have been working on an upcoming webcast on the science of music. I think this will be an especially fascinating episode of Discerning Truth because it is not a topic that is often discussed. Yet, music demonstrates the glory of God and is inconsistent with evolution. This webcast is taking more time than usual due to the large number of audio/video effects. But it will be worth the wait.
As you receive this, I will be preparing to speak at the Rocky Mountain Homeschool Conference in Denver. These conferences are a lot of fun and are great opportunities to meet many wonderful Christian families. I am always impressed by how mature, intelligent, and spiritually sanctified children from Christian homeschool families are. There really is tremendous blessing in obeying God’s instructions (Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 6:4).
