Music Box North Lakes

Music Box North Lakes Music Box focuses on fun participation for children through songs and physical movement which assists in a child’s cognitive development and motor skills.

The Mango Hill Village Hall is now home to our Music Box program for parents/caregivers and their toddlers from ages 0-5 on Tuesday's and Friday's from 9:30am - 11:00am. We have lots of fun as we help develop fine and gross motor skills as well as encouraging cognitive development through the use of actions, music and singing. Music Box focuses on fun participation for children. We do this through

songs and physical movement which assists in a child’s cognitive development and gross motor skills. Most of all we focus on encouraging a strong relational bond with a child’s parent or caregiver. We are a not for profit run ministry of The Lakes Anglican Church and all our funds go back into simply enabling us to be present for the families who come along. We do only run in the school terms.

Hi all, unfortunately a sad decision has been made to stop music box for now, due to covid we have not been able to get the numbers and not having enough volunteers to run it has been abit of a challenge, maybe down the track we might be able to restart it if we get the right volunteers, but for now it will be stopping.
I would like to thank everyone who has been apart of music box since it started about 9/10 years ago and it has been a privilege running it for the last few years, thank you all 😔💕❤️

It was a great morning at music box today, sun was shining, birds were singing 🎶 and so were we. We are doing transport this term for our songs so all about buses, trains, planes and boats the children love it, they also did suggest so other favourite songs to sing may not have been transport related but we could leave them out if the children love them 😀, we had 2 new little ones join in today, it was lovely to see a smile on their faces and watching them join in with us and learn some new songs, we love meeting new friends.
Play time at the park is always a pleasure to watch, especially when most of the time is taken up by imaginative play with sticks, who would have thought good old sticks, they were building camp fires, then the sticks turned into dinosaur eggs 🥚 and also wands, the children also found a little leaf 🍃 insect which they loved watching, great day had by all.

Unfortunately we are having to stop Tuesdays at present as I am starting my Cert III in Childcare tomorrow and the classes run Monday and Tuesday's but we are still running a more laid back Music Box on Friday's at Aurora Boulevard park from 9.30am if you would like to come and Join us.
