As we approach Renewal Gathering, we’re inviting our Newlife Family to intentionally seek God together.

From MON 14 – THURS 17 SEP, 7PM–7:30PM, we’ll gather on Zoom to pray and contend together, asking God to move powerfully by His Spirit as we gather for Renewal. The Zoom link will be emailed through each day.

THIS SUNDAY — FATHER’S DAY 🤎

We know Father’s Day can hold all kinds of emotions and stories. For some it’s a day of celebration, while for others it can carry grief, absence or disappointment.

This Sunday, we want to make space for all of that while taking the opportunity to honour and celebrate good, godly men — fathers, grandfathers, spiritual fathers, mentors, and men who are faithfully following Jesus and investing in the lives of others.
And we’re celebrating with coffee and treats ☕️

Our coffee cart will be pouring from 9AM — free coffee for the men, and pay what you want for everyone else. Come early though, because we’ll stop pouring 5 minutes before the service begins!

What does Christian leadership actually look like?

Our world has a pretty clear picture of successful leadership: status, influence, recognition, numbers, platform, power.

And if we’re not careful, we can take what the world calls impressive and assume heaven must be impressed too.

But Paul gives the church a radically different picture.

The world says climb.
Jesus says serve.
The world says be seen.
Jesus says be faithful.
The world says build your name.
Jesus says decrease, so that He might increase.

Maybe the problem isn’t leadership itself, but the model of leadership we’ve absorbed.

Because Christian leadership isn’t shaped by Rome’s definition of success. It’s shaped by Jesus.

Maybe the answer to our crisis of trust isn’t no leadership, but humble leadership.
