✨🎉MARK YOUR CALENDAR✨🎉

This 10th of October, Saturday, Catholics across Australia will once again gather in public to pray the Holy Rosary in honour of Our Lady of Fatima.

Public Rosaries are a beautiful witness to our Catholic Faith and a powerful way to pray for our nation, our families, and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

As Australia Needs Fatima prepares for this year's nationwide Public Rosary Crusade, we feel called to unite our prayers and celebrate this special day at Bove’s Farm from 2 PM.

The CFC Handmaids of the Lord Southwest Chapter will be our Rosary Captain this year.

Please join us, come with your families and friends! Let us give honour to Our Lady of Fatima and cover Australia in prayer. 🙏🙏

🌹HOW DID THE CHURCH KNOW THAT MARY’S BIRTHDAY IS SEPTEMBER 8❓

Every year, on September 8, Catholics around the world celebrate something incredibly beautiful🌹:

🎂 The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary — the birth of Mother Mary.

But there is a mystery…

Did someone actually find Mary's birth certificate❓
No. 😮

The Bible does not give us the exact date of Mary's birth.

So where did September 8 come from❓

📜The story goes back to the ancient Church.

In the early centuries of Christianity, Christians began honoring the places and events connected with the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

By the 5th century, a feast celebrating Mary's birth was already being observed in Jerusalem.

According to ancient Christian tradition, the feast was associated with a church built near what was believed to be the home of Mary's parents, Saints Joachim and Anne.

🌹 The celebration gradually spread.

Then, in the 7th century, the feast became established in Rome under Pope Sergius I, who promoted a solemn celebration of Mary's Nativity.

But why September 8❓

Here comes the beautiful part. ✨

The date appears to have been connected with the ancient Eastern Christian liturgical calendar and the dedication of a church in Jerusalem associated with Mary's birth.

And there is another fascinating connection…

💙 September 8 is exactly nine months after December 8 — the Solemnity of Mary's Immaculate Conception.

December 8 → Mary's conception
September 8 → Mary's birth

Nine months.

🌹A beautiful liturgical rhythm.

The Church therefore does not say:

“Here is the historical document proving Mary was born on September 8.”

Instead, September 8 is an ancient and treasured Christian tradition handed down through the Church's liturgical life.

🫡And perhaps the most beautiful thought is this:

Before Mary became the mother who stood beneath the Cross…

Before she carried Jesus in her arms…

Before she said,

“Let it be to me according to your word.” ❤️

There was simply a little girl…

Born into the world according to God's mysterious plan.

🌹 Mary's birthday reminds us that God can prepare something extraordinary through an apparently ordinary beginning.

Her life began quietly.

But through her “YES”, the Savior of the world entered human history.

🎂 Happy Birthday, Blessed Virgin Mary❗

May your “YES” to God inspire our own.

💙🌹

✨✨✨✨
What a beautiful gift to Our Lady that we have been blessed by the visit of such special souls! Thank you, Luigi, Louisa, and Fernando, for coming to pay homage to Our Lady, our Mother and Queen, on this special day.

What you began in this sacred place many decades ago will forever remain in the hearts of all the pilgrims who have come to visit and pray at this special sanctuary. Your presence and devotion have left a lasting legacy that will always be remembered with gratitude and love.

We lovingly invite everyone to continue praying for Louisa, Luigi, Fernando, and the entire Bove family. May Our Lady hold them close to her Immaculate Heart, strengthen them with her maternal love, and guide them always closer to Jesus. May our prayers, united with theirs, be a source of comfort, grace, and hope.

🌺Totus Tuus, Maria! 🌺

August 22- QUEENSHIP OF MARY

OUR LADY, MOTHER AND QUEEN

O Mary Immaculate Queen, look down upon this distressed and suffering world. You know our misery and our weakness. O thou who art our Mother, saving us in the hour of peril, have compassion on us in these days of great and heavy trial.

Jesus has confided to you the treasure of His grace, and through you He wills to grant us pardon and mercy. In these hours of anguish, therefore, your children come to you as their hope.

We recognize your Queenship and ardently desire your triumph. We need a Mother and a Mother's Heart. You are for us the luminous dawn which dissipates our darkness and points out the way to life. In your clemency obtain for us the courage and the confidence of which we have such need.

Most Holy and Adorable Trinity, You Who did crown with glory in Heaven the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Savior, grant that all her children on earth may acknowledge her as their Sovereign Queen, that all hearts, homes, and nations may recognize her rights as Mother and as Queen.

Mary Immaculate Queen, triumph and reign! Amen.

On this day, Aug. 19, 1917, at Fatima, Portugal, the Blessed Mother Mary asked the three shepherd children to pray the rosary daily and to “Pray, pray very much. Make sacrifices for sinners. Many souls go to hell, because no one is willing to help them with sacrifice.”

Honour Our Lady by praying the rosary, invoking the Immaculate Heart of Mary by praying the Fatima morning prayer, or meditating over the Magnificat.

🌺🌺🌺The Catholic Church dedicates the entire month of August to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, while also celebrating three major feast days dedicated to Our Lady.

Originally, the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary was celebrated on Aug. 22 when Pope Pius XII set the feast day in 1944 due to the turmoil and horrors caused by World War II and his devotion to Our Lady of Fatima. But in 1969, Pope St. Paul VI moved the feast day to the Saturday after the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which allows the feast days to be celebrated back-to-back.

August also holds a special place in the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. On Aug. 19, 1917, Mary asked three shepherd children to pray the rosary daily and to “Pray, pray very much. Make sacrifices for sinners. Many souls go to hell, because no one is willing to help them with sacrifice.”

Honour Our Lady during August by praying the rosary, invoking the Immaculate Heart of Mary by praying the Fatima morning prayer, or meditating over the Magnificat.
