A little belated… but we promise it was for a good reason 😅🙌

Last Sunday (7th June) was such a special morning together as a church family!

We’ve been a little delayed sharing this one because our focus has been completely captured by everything God has been doing through Light Up Hobart this past week 🔥 (and what a week it has been!)

But we couldn’t let this Sunday go by without celebrating all that took place.

Worship was incredible, a powerful time of lifting the name of Jesus together and encountering God as one body 🙌

We shared in communion together, with Clive leading us through a thoughtful and meaningful message that reminded us of the power of the cross, the sacrifice of Jesus, and the hope we have because of Him.

Our wonderful Elder Pastor Marianne then brought a powerful teaching on spiritual warfare, encouraging the body of Christ to stand firm, put on the full armour of God, and take back ground for the Kingdom in our city.

“Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” — Ephesians 6:11

What a timely reminder that we are called to be people who pray, stand firm in faith, and walk in the authority we have through Jesus.

Thank you to everyone who gathered, worshipped, served and continues to be part of what God is building in our church and across Hobart 🔥

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK | EPISODE 4 🎥🚽🧼

This week we're honouring one of the most unseen, yet incredibly important ministries in the life of our church; our Cleaning Team. 🧹✨

Throughout the week, while the building sits empty, most people don't see what happens behind the scenes. These faithful volunteers are serving the house of God with excellence.

From vacuuming the entire church, to cleaning bathrooms, wiping down surfaces, emptying bins, and preparing every space for the week ahead, they help create a welcoming environment for every person who walks through our doors.

Their ministry isn't always visible, but it makes a difference every single week. Through their faithful service, they help make room for people to encounter Jesus.

Thank you for your commitment, humility, and willingness to serve where few people are watching. We honour you, appreciate you, and are so grateful for all that you do.

Church doesn't happen on Sunday alone. It happens because of faithful people serving throughout the week.

Thank you Cleaning Team 🔥🙏

SUNDAY SERVICE 🔥⛪

A powerful morning in the presence of King Jesus 👑

Jess opened the service with communion, leading us back to the finished work of Jesus. As we remembered His sacrifice, the room erupted into "The Blood", a declaration that our hope, freedom, and victory are found in Christ alone.

We then entered a powerful time of worship, fixing our eyes on Jesus and preparing our hearts for what He wanted to speak.

Ps. Emily challenged us as a church not to retreat in the face of the upcoming dark festival, but to press in. This is not a season for fear or withdrawal. It's time for the Church to be on the offence, not the defence. While darkness may be loud, the light of Jesus is greater.

Ps. Ben followed with a powerful message, calling us to position ourselves to preach nothing but Jesus Christ and Him crucified. The gospel is still the power of God for salvation, and now is the time to boldly proclaim it.

We are not called to hide our light under a basket. We are called to be a city on a hill, shining brightly for all to see. God has positioned His Church to bring light into the darkness, hope into hopelessness, and truth into confusion.

As Light Up Hobart approaches, may we be a people who advance, who carry the presence of God into our city, and who believe for lives to be transformed by the power of Jesus 🔥🙏

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK | Episode 3: 🎥🎙️☕

This week, Bernard was out at the Kingdom Coffee Van, standing with the team as he interviewed them for a behind the scenes look into the faithful serving that happens each week at RiverCity.

It’s more than just coffee. From warm smiles to conversations, connection and creating a welcoming space for people to gather, the coffee ministry is all about serving people and building community.

Whether it’s someone stopping by for a quick chat, meeting someone new, or simply feeling seen and welcomed, this ministry helps create an atmosphere of warmth and fellowship both inside and outside the church walls.

We’re so grateful for the faithful team who serve week in and week out, helping people feel at home and creating opportunities for connection through something as simple as a cup of coffee.

Keep an eye out for Episode 4 of Highlight of the Week as we continue to honour the different ministries, serving teams and community outreach happening throughout the week at RiverCity 👏🔥

Thank you coffee ministry team! We honour you & we see you! 🙏

Sunday Service Highlights 🎥🔥

We were so honoured to have special guest Ps Leo Stossich from Full Gospel Australia with us, who shared the Word and formally inducted Ps Ben as a Full Gospel Minister 🙌🙏

The presence of God was so tangible throughout the service; powerful worship, prophetic words, testimonies of tumours being healed, and a salvation that came through Saturday’s Salamanca outreach 🔥

Ps Jim led us in communion before Ps Leo brought a powerful message on Paul’s Damascus Road encounter; how one moment with Jesus completely transformed his life and calling. Though Paul was highly qualified in the Torah, the Lord humbled him and revealed that salvation is a gift of grace alone, and that ultimately we are to know nothing but Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Ps Ben & Ps Emily were then invited up & prayed over as Ps Ben was formally inducted and ordained, followed by encouraging words spoken over them from Ps Leo, Ps Nico & Ps Jim.

We finished the day gathered together over BBQ and soup as a Church Family, celebrating all that God is doing in our midst 🔥
