FATHER’S DAY AT RIVERCITY CHURCH 🏆📣🔥

This Father’s Day, we’re taking a moment to honour and celebrate the men who carry, lead, protect, encourage and pour into the next generation 🙏

We’ll be gathering as a church family for a special morning as RiverCity Kids take over the service, and Adrian Rayner from our Men’s Ministry shares a powerful message on the Father’s Heart.

And of course, we’re making it a celebration!

Men, come dressed in your footy colours (AFL, NRL or Soccer), enjoy a FREE hot drink from the coffee van & National Pies following the service 🏈⚽☕ 🥧

Whether you’re a dad, grandfather, father figure, son, or simply a man who is investing into the lives of others, you are valued, you are needed, and your legacy matters.

Let’s celebrate the men of our house and the generations to come.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you this Sunday! ❤️‍🔥

Last Sunday was so special 🔥🙏

From freedom and joy in worship, to a powerful communion message from Bernice, followed by a fire-filled time of ministry and announcements with Ps Jim Collins.

And throughout the service, one theme kept rising to the surface: forgiveness.

Ps Ben shared from his own journey of forgiveness; from a father who rejected him before he was even born, to forgiving his childhood abuser.

We heard the story of the woman caught in adultery, as Jesus challenged those holding stones to examine their own hearts:

“Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” - John 8:7

Romans 8 was also spoken throughout the service, reminding us that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

We didn't finish with a song or an altar call. Instead, everyone remained in their seats, heads bowed and eyes closed, as we quietly forgave those who had wronged us.

It was a powerful moment of surrender, freedom and healing.

We’re looking forward to this morning’s service! 🙌 Ps Jim Garlick will be sharing with us, and we’re expecting another great morning in the house.

See you in church! ⛪

PS. Don't forget your Bibles! 😍

SUNDAY SERVICE⛪🙏 A morning filled with faith, fire, purpose & response 🔥

What a powerful morning! From a room filled with joy and unity in worship, to an altar flooded with people responding to the call to burn for the Lord, we were reminded that God is calling His people out of apathy and into action.

During worship, Ps Ben shared the words of John the Baptist: “I baptise you with water… but He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” — Matthew 3:11

He invited anyone who wanted to burn for the Lord to come to the altar and within moments, the altar was filled with people on their knees, arms lifted high and tears streaming down their faces as the Lord ministered and drew us closer to Himself 🔥

Ps Jim Collins encouraged us from Matthew 11:12, prophetically challenging us to shift from a posture of “driving in neutral” to shifting into gear; moving from apathy into response, faith and action. James and the worship team shifted the gears in worship and the room erupted with praise.

Cathy Collins led us in a powerful time of communion, we heard from Ps Jim Garlick about the heart of pastoral care, & Simon from our New Norfolk campus shared testimonies of what God is doing through their gatherings, including a salvation at their community BBQ on Thursday! 🙌🔥

We were also so honoured to welcome Ps Matt & Carol Prater to minister with us this morning!

Ps Matt encouraged us from Jeremiah 29:11, reminding us that God has a purpose for every one of us. The question is: Will we boldly multiply the gifts God has placed in our hands, or will we play it safe and bury it? A powerful challenge from the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14–30.

Ps Carol closed with a beautiful encouragement to become like children in worship. Inspired by watching the kids worship freely and wave the flags, she called us to worship with that same freedom, joy and abandon“I will celebrate before the LORD. I will become even more undignified than this…” 2 Samuel 6:21–22 ❤️‍🔥

We’re shifting into gear. We’re choosing to burn. We’re choosing to respond. 🔥

WHAT A DAY! 🔥

Yesterday was such a special time at RiverCity Church!

We had the honour of having Matt Prater minister to the men at our Men’s Breakfast; a powerful morning of connection, encouragement and challenging truth.

Meanwhile, the women gathered for a beautiful luncheon before moving into an intimate time of worship, followed by a powerful, challenging and encouraging word from Carol Prater ❤️‍🔥

We’re so grateful for everything God did yesterday, and we’re so excited to have Matt & Carol back with us for our Sunday Service this morning!

🔥 ALL ARE WELCOME!

Come expecting. Come hungry. Come ready for what God wants to do! 🙌
