Buddha Day @ Sangha Night
Sydney Buddhist Centre, 24 Enmore Rd. Newtown

The full moon night of May is when the Buddha was said to have gained Enlightenment. What a moment! Every year we mark this special occasion celebrating the insight and practice that has been passed down from the Buddha through so many generations.

This year we invite you to join us for Buddha Day with the International Order Convenors Saraka and Vajrapriya and Sydney sangha at our weekly Sangha Night!

6pm – 7pm: Enjoy a shared meal – please bring a plate of vegan food to share!
7.30pm – 8:30pm: Short reflections on the Buddha from Vajrapriya
7.40 – 8.30pm: Pūjā

All welcome!

Young People's Easter Retreat
Thursday 2 April – Monday 6 April
Vijayaloka Retreat Centre, Minto Heights

Places still available! For people aged 18-35, this is an excellent opportunity to spend a long weekend exploring meditation and Buddhist teachings, in supportive conditions with new and old friends, away from the distraction of everyday life. Best suited to those who have some experience with the two practices we teach (mindfulness of breathing and mettā bhāvanā – “development of loving kindness”), but don't worry if you have no previous experience, we'll be able to give a fully led practice.

Alongside practice and discussion, there will also be plenty of time to relax and explore the beautiful bushland.
