Heavenly Father, God of love, peace and freedom. We are grateful for the peace, security and freedom we enjoy. As we remember those who in time of war faithfully served their country.
We pray for their families, and for ourselves whose freedom was won at such a cost.
Give us the grace as a people to seek out and walk in peace, as we pray for all people of every nation to come to know the prince of peace the Lord Jesus. This we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, the one who gave his life for the sake of the world.
