Padre P’s pilgrimage perambulation preparation prayer.
Today was the penultimate parish liturgical moment before Rev’d Phil leaves us for his big European adventure. We prayed the usual pilgrim blessing that he would not be beset by brigands, blown off course by tempestuous waves on the high seas or die of dysentery in a dank wayside inn.
He promises to try hard to avoid such things and return transformed, energized and pious.
Travel well, ye pilgrim.

A suitably festive Pentecost was had… tinged with both sadness and optimism as we prayed a blessing prayer on Jim and Gina as their long anticipated move to Sydney happens. May the Spirit guide you, Jim and Gina.
