What happens when life gets dark?

In this message, “Move Towards the Light,” we look at the biblical picture of light and darkness and the call found in 1 Peter 2:9 to come “out of darkness into his marvellous light.”

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12). No matter what season of life we find ourselves in, the answer is not to become comfortable in the darkness, but to keep moving closer to Him.

Using Scripture and a simple real-life illustration of autumn leaves growing beneath streetlights, this message explores what happens when we stay close to the Light, and how Christians are called to carry that light into their families, workplaces, schools and communities.

If you're walking through a difficult season, struggling with temptation, facing uncertainty, or simply feel further from God than you once were, this message has one simple encouragement:

Move towards the Light.
Move towards Jesus.
Stay close to the Light.
