This week we have our panel with James Cox, Dee Coleman, and Cate & Chris Hayes to help generate discussion on topics that have arisen from our exploration in Mark such as healing, miracles, the supernatural and how our understanding informs how we live out our faith in today's world. WARNING: We may end up with more questions than answers! And that's OK.

Sunday March 8th - Guest Artist Kate de Veau

Katie will be telling stories and singing for most of the cafe style service.

Katie trained in classical music and drama from the age of three and much of her childhood was spent on the stage. From her late teenage years, her gift as a musician and songwriter has taken her to festivals, community events, schools, cafes and churches across Australia and around the world. Touring in both rural and city areas across Australia and beyond, Katie’s songs of love, faith and life leave a lasting impression. Acoustic, poetic and connected with the social challenges of the time, Katie has been described as “…an artist whose music is genuinely cross-generational, artistic, thought provoking and dynamic.” (Rev, Tim Costello). Katie, along with her husband Mark and daughter Charlie, will be sharing both stories and songs with us.

We're getting so excited for Pride Fair Day! Along with our stall at Gregson Park, we will be interviewing the incredible Steff Fenton about their new book, Gender Expansive Faith.

This will be at 12:30pm on Saturday 25th October. That's the same day as the Pride Fair, so after saying hi at our stall, you can pop across the road to hear from Steff about how Christians can welcome and celebrate their transgender loved ones.

We are just across the road at 108 Lindsay St ⛪️

Welcome to our newly painted building!

Thanks to a big team effort of willing volunteers who helped out in so many ways - colour choosing, cleaning, prepping, painting, moving scaffolding, providing morning tea and lunch and packing up. It was a lot of fun working together on this project. This project was gracefully lead by our wonderful Jackie, who has shown such a wonderful heart for our church in the effort she has put in to making our space of worship more beautiful.

We have so many exciting plans for the future of this building! While our main space has been refurbished, we are starting to plan ahead to refurb our entry foyer and bathrrom. We are also hoping to replace our blinds and continue to improve the aocustics of our church. All of these grand hopes for our church do come with some cost. If you are interested in making a one-off contribution to the whole refurb project, please transfer your contribution to the HBC account (BSB 704922 Acct 100016460) and mark as “Building”.

We appreciate all that is given to our church on a regular basis and the many ways, beyond financial, that folk contribute to the well being and growth of our church.

Did you know it's only 12 weeks til Christmas? Over these next 12 weeks we will be praying about what God is doing and where we are being lead as we venture into a new season.

For the next 12 weeks, we will explore a topic that has been brought up in our discussions at church. We will focus on a Bible verse and have some questions you might like to consider. We will be meeting on Thursday mornings in person at church between 6.30-7.30am or on Zoom on Thursday evenings between 6.30-7.30pm.

Praying together is a significant part of cultivating a healthy church. I'm looking forward to sharing the journey with you!
