A second pastor at MCC Brisbane - the search begins!

MCC Brisbane is looking for a second pastor to work alongside our Pastor, Denise. The second pastor will be paid for 2 days a week for one year, with a view to continuing in the role if it is financially viable.

Merthyr Road Uniting Church is privileged to have five worship groups that meet on our site at New Farm. Every Sunday we have our own service, the Brisbane Quakers, Pilgrim People Brisbane and the Metropolitan Community Church, and once a month the Christian Hindi-Speaking Fellowship for Indo-Fijians.

To celebrate Pentecost (May 24) and mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (May 17-23), all five groups are coming together at one place, at the same time, for a combined Christian Unity service on May 31 at 2:30 pm. People from each group will lead parts of the service. The guest preacher will be Dr Kate Power, the general secretary of Qld Churches Together.

A shared afternoon tea will provide the opportunity to build relationships across these groups. Visitors are very welcome!
