Narromine Lions Club will host a luncheon on Sunday, March 8 at the Aero Club where Ryan Fowler will speak about the importance of paediatric palliative care in Australia and "Rio's Legacy".
It's a deeply personal mission for Ryan and his wife Karen, who lost their son Rio in 2018, and founded Rio's Legacy to advocate for the thousands of children with life limiting conditions who deserve compassionate, family-centred support.
Come along and hear Ryan talk about fundraising projects to develop Mounties Care Cottage, a dedicated paediatric hospice currently under construction in Western Sydney, set to open in late 2027. It's just the second paediatrics hospice in NSW and the fifth in Australia.
As Ryan often says, "hospitals save lives but hospices save families".
Ticket price includes a light lunch.
