This meme made me laugh... but it also made me think.

Sometimes our minds really do feel like an internet browser with 19 tabs open.

One tab is worrying about our family.

Another is thinking about work.

Another is replaying a conversation from yesterday.

Another is wondering what tomorrow will bring.

A few tabs are frozen because we're overwhelmed.

And somewhere in the background, a random song is playing that we didn't even choose!

The reality is that many of us carry far more in our minds than we were ever meant to carry alone.

The good news is that God never asked us to hold everything ourselves.

📖 "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." — 1 Peter 5:7

When life feels overwhelming, God invites us to hand our burdens to Him. Not because our problems aren't real, but because His shoulders are stronger than ours.

Here are a few simple ways to quiet a busy mind:

🌿 Spend a few minutes in prayer.
🌿 Read a Psalm and reflect on God's promises.
🌿 Take a walk and notice God's creation around you.
🌿 Write down your worries and then pray over them.
🌿 Turn off the noise for a little while and sit quietly with God.

One of the most comforting promises in Scripture says:

📖 "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." — Isaiah 26:3

The world tells us to carry everything.Jesus tells us:

📖 "Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28

Today, if your mind feels like it has 19 tabs open, take a moment to close a few and spend some time with the One who can bring true peace.

🙏 May God's peace fill your heart and mind today.

I was sitting on a train going to Noble Park and watching people playing on their phones

People are incredibly dedicated to keeping their game streaks going. Some will make sure they log in every day no matter what. Kids sometimes even ask someone else to play for them while they’re away… just so they don’t lose the streak!

And it made me stop and wonder… what if we were that passionate about spending time with God’s Word?

Imagine if there was a visible streak counting how many days we had opened our Bible… how many of us would be working hard not to break it? (Myself included.)

The truth is, what we do consistently shapes us.

God’s Word isn’t just another thing on our to-do list. It’s encouragement when we’re weary, wisdom when we’re unsure, strength when life feels heavy, and truth in a world full of noise.

Maybe today is a good day to start… or restart… our “Bible streak.” Not for points. Not out of guilt. But because spending time with God changes us.

📖 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105

📖 “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” — Matthew 4:4

📖 “Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night…” — Joshua 1:8

How’s your Bible streak going? ❤️

As I was driving this morning, I found myself thinking about my son’s basketball game last night.

Towards the end of the game, the passion from his team was incredible. The energy, the determination, the fire… they gave everything they had.

It got me thinking… Australians are passionate about sport. We cheer loudly, we show up, we wear the colours, we celebrate the wins and feel the losses.

And then I thought… imagine if we as Christians had that same passion for God.

Imagine if we were truly on fire for Him… excited about our faith, bold in our love, passionate about sharing hope, showing kindness, living out what we believe.

What a difference could we make in our homes, our communities… our world?

God never called us to a lukewarm faith. He calls us to wholehearted devotion.

“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” — Romans 12:11

A little challenge for myself today… am I bringing the same passion to my walk with God that people bring to the things they love most?

I was chatting with a friend today about someone going through a really broken season, and an image came to mind…

When a pot breaks, there’s a special glue that can carefully piece it back together again. Sometimes, when it’s repaired well, you can hardly tell it was broken at all.

It made me think about God.

Life can break us. Grief, disappointment, loss, worry, pain… sometimes we feel shattered into pieces.

But God is the glue in our lives.

He gently takes the broken pieces we can’t fix ourselves and, with love, grace and patience, begins putting us back together again.

Not instantly. Not always easily. But faithfully.

Brokenness doesn’t have to be the end of the story.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3

Sometimes in life we wonder… Is this really from God?

A helpful reminder: if it’s from God, it will come with peace and clarity — not chaos and confusion. That doesn’t mean every path will be easy, but God’s leading brings a deep sense of His presence and guidance.

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7
