Our regular kids and youth programs are back this week!

KidTime! A community playgroup held in the church hall on Thursday mornings from 9:30 – 11:30am. It is a great place for parents/carers and their preschool aged kids (0-5) to gather and meet other people. The parents get the chance to meet other parents, have a chat and a tea or barista made coffee. The kids get to play with other kids and do craft, sing songs and listen to stories, with a new theme every week. All welcome!

Kids Arvo! Kids' Arvo is an after school program that runs on Fridays during school term from 4:30-6pm. Children from Kindergarten to year 6 meet in the NBC Education Centre. The sessions are an action packed program of games, craft and learning about faith in an age appropriate way. This is a great place to bring your friends who may not come to church.

Friday Night Youth! Our youth gets together after a long week of life to remember who it's all aboutL: Jesus! We will have some supper, play some games, sing together, enjoy the company, hear a bible talk, and go to discussion groups to chat and pray! 7-9pm

🎄 Christmas Eve is here! 🎄
Join us tonight at 6pm for a relaxed, family-friendly Christmas Eve service as we celebrate the birth of Jesus together.

Then tomorrow morning, we’ll gather again on Christmas Day at 9am for a joyful celebration.

We had an un-be-leaf-ably wonderful crafter-noon on Sunday! 🌸
Together we wove a whole lot of joy, turning flowers and shrubbery into beautiful Christmas wreaths. It was extra special to pause and hear a faith story from one of our youth, Amelia, and a thoughtful Christmas message from our Women’s Pastoral Care Worker, Sarah Edwardes.

It is with a heavy heart that we call one another to prayer in the wake of the horrific and senseless shootings at Bondi Beach last night.

We stand with the Jewish community and all people impacted by this event as they, and we, come to terms with what has occurred.

Australian Baptist Ministries has released the following statement, with which Narrabeen Baptist Church would strongly align:

“We are deeply grieved by the tragic events that unfolded at Bondi Beach during the Jewish festival celebration. We condemn this act of violence in the strongest possible terms and stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters at this time of profound sorrow.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost loved ones, and we pray for healing and comfort for all who are injured and traumatised.

We reject antisemitism in all its forms and commit ourselves to fostering relationships of respect, compassion and understanding across faith communities.

We call upon our churches and members to join us in prayer for the Jewish community, for the city of Sydney, and for our nation as we seek unity in the face of hatred.

May God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts of those who mourn and strengthen us all to stand together against violence and prejudice.

What an afternoon! 🎄🍬
On Sunday we welcomed around 110 people to our Gingerbread House Event — and the room was buzzing! It was such a joy to see little hands, steady hands, and everything in between creating seriously impressive gingerbread masterpieces (and maybe sneaking a few lollies along the way 😉).
We also loved hearing Maddie’s faith story and a short, hope-filled Christmas message from Daniel.

We still have some gingerbread houses available if you and a friend want to come along on Sunday afternoon and decorate a gingerbread house! There's currently 6 original gingerbread, 2 chocolate, and 3 Gluten Free.
