Wondering what actually happens when you come to church on Sunday? 😊
If you haven't been to church before — or it's been a very long time — walking through the doors can feel a little daunting. So here's what you can expect at Mudgee Baptist Church.
Our Sunday service begins at 10am.
You'll be welcomed when you arrive, then you're free to find a seat wherever you feel comfortable.
And don't worry about what to wear! There's no special dress code and no need to dress up. Just wear whatever you normally feel comfortable in — you'll fit right in.
During the service we sing together, pray, read from the Bible and hear a message that helps us understand what the Bible says and how it relates to our lives.
You won't be asked to stand up and introduce yourself, and you don't need to know the songs, bring a Bible or know when to sit or stand. You can simply come in and join us.
Afterwards, we have morning tea and there's time for a cuppa and a chat if you'd like to stay — but there's no pressure.
Come exactly as you are. ❤️

Some weeks are harder than others.
Sometimes there’s a reason. Sometimes there are lots of little things. And sometimes we simply feel tired, worried or overwhelmed.
The Bible doesn’t pretend that life is always easy. Instead, it reminds us that in the difficult times, God is not far away.
“The LORD is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
If this is a difficult week for you, we hope you know that you don’t have to have everything together.
May you find a little strength for today, hope for tomorrow, and the reassurance that God is near. ❤️

And you don’t need to have all the answers.
Just come as you are.

Hello from Mudgee Baptist Church! 👋
If you've come across our page and don't know much about us, we thought it was time we introduced ourselves.
We're a local church made up of ordinary people who are learning what it means to follow Jesus, care for one another and share His hope with our community.
We're not a big church, and you don't need to have everything figured out before you walk through our doors.
Whether you've been part of a church for years, haven't been for a very long time, or have never been at all — you're welcome.
Over the coming weeks, we'll share a little more about who we are, what happens here and some of the ways we're involved in our community.
And if you've ever wondered what it might be like to come along one Sunday, we'd love to have you.

There’s something hopeful about a fresh start. 🌱
A new season. A new month. Another opportunity to begin again.
The Bible reminds us that God is always at work — sometimes in ways we can see, and sometimes quietly in ways we don’t yet understand.
As spring begins, perhaps this is a good time to stop and notice the new things beginning around us — and to ask where God might be at work in our own lives too.
“See, I am doing a new thing!” — Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)
From all of us at Mudgee Baptist Church, we hope September brings you encouragement, hope and a few lovely new beginnings. 🌿
