We are taking a collection for the valuable work of the MAF at our Father’s Day services tomorrow
⛽✈️ Our final Fuel for Father’s Day Friday.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve shared stories showing what fuel can make possible. For our final story before Father’s Day, we’re reminded that sometimes an MAF flight is just one part of a much bigger chain that can save a life.
When Osam developed serious heart problems while working in Sudan, the specialist medical care he urgently needed was across international borders in Nairobi, Kenya.
He had already endured a 10-hour journey by road into Chad. But another 13 hours by road to N’Djamena was considered too risky for his condition.
MAF was able to step in.
A three-hour flight carried Osam safely to N’Djamena, where an AMREF Flying Doctors aircraft was waiting to continue his journey to Nairobi for urgent treatment.
Later, from hospital, Osam sent a message:
"Thank you for the great support that was given by you. You have saved my life. I succeeded to reach the hospital on time. Now I have improved a lot and am well."
MAF was only one part of Osam’s journey but sometimes, being one link in the chain is exactly what’s needed.
And every one of those MAF flights needs fuel.
This Father’s Day, your gift can help keep MAF planes ready to respond when people living and working in isolated places urgently need a way out.
Father’s Day is only days away, so while there may not be time for a physical Jerrycan Card to arrive, our print-at-home Fuel for Father’s Day cards are still available. 🎁
Give Dad a meaningful last-minute gift and help fuel flights that can make a life-changing difference.
