Praise the Lord, we can meet together again in person (remembering to use our distancing rules of course)!

Because we are gathering in person we are now stopping the live streaming.

Blessings to our friends near and far who have been joining in or maybe watching during the week. Thank you for your fellowship in the work of the good news of Jesus our Saviour and Lord.

A couple of weeks ago we finally had a baptism! The rainfall this year is the lowest on record so far and our favourite waterhole (and all the others) has been quite dry and unsuitable, so we finally decided to buy a swimming pool. Two ladies and three men were baptised and we had a BBQ afterwards which was a great time of fellowship.

One of the young ladies who was baptised, who God has set free from alcohol and drugs etc declared on the phone one evening, "Some people are excited about their new car or new house, but I'm excited about my new life!" What a testimony! - and a reminder to those of us who have walked with Jesus for years to keep our relationship with Him fresh and vibrant and not lose the excitement of knowing and walking with Him. She and her sister have been sharing with their family and now another sister and her mother have made decisions for Jesus and are waiting for another baptism. That's the power of God working through a changed life! (We have just had water restrictions kick in and will have to get permission from the city council to fill the pool now!)

Water of Life Church is alive and thriving despite the silence on facebook for so long. It is difficult to know how to prioritise demands on time. Will try and include a spot for facebook more regularly. I really do want to "tell what great things the Lord has done" and is still doing.

Three Sundays ago it was George's B'day and he told me after church Sunday night "That was the best birthday present ever! - another 5 people gave their lives to the Lord" (One man is one who has been attending "church" in the riverbed on Sunday mornings. This year a small group has been going down to the homeless faithfully each Sunday morning).

Another su***de this week - a neice of one of our church ladies. So distressing. The young people in this city so need Jesus. We long to see a strong youth group for aboriginal youth in this city. Had opportunity to minister to the families affected and trust God to work in people's hearts even in the midst of tragedy.

But there is always sweet with the bitter. Another two 'born again' on Wed night at prayer meeting. Relatives (brother and sister) of some of our church members, who have been sharing with them about the Lord. The young lady had come to women's group a couple of times and church once, and I had not seen her smile once - very expressionless and sad face. Such a visible change this Friday night at women's group. Her face was relaxed, a light in her eyes and smile on her face. That's what Jesus does!

Men's group still growing - 20 in attendance last Thursday. God is so good! Please keep praying for the men especially. One young man who gave his life to the Lord soon after getting out of jail a month or so ago has stood strong against all offers of alcohol etc.,(from friends) and has been coming faithfully to all church meetings. So exciting to see Jesus changing these guys from the inside out. So please keep praying for the men ( and our precious ladies too!). It is so important for aboriginal men to take up leadership in their families and communities - and the church.

Excited about what God is doing! The profile picture (which is supposed to be on the Wall!) was the prayer meeting group last Wednesday. Everyone loves sitting outside in the cool of the evening and the sun doesn,t set till after 7.30. Opening prayer and worship was really well led by an 18 yr old young man, and others strongly led out in the prayer time. George usually does a Bible Study segment.

16 men were at men's meeting last week. We have been praying specifically for men to be strong in the Lord and lead their families, so this is a real praise point. Also, several ladies have stepped up to a new level in their commitment to follow God (moving from the fringe of only attending occasionally, to being involved, excited and committed)in the last few weeks. We had a new lady attend women's group as well, who some of the ladies have visited for some time on their own initiative and another who used to come 6 months ago but stopped because of persecution, and who another of the ladies has been reaching out to. Both are keen to keep coming. I love what God is doing through these people to reach their own!
