🕌 Eid Prayer: 8:00 AM

IAWSS / Rooty Hill Masjid announces that Eid al‑Fiṭr ṣalāh will be held on Saturday 21 March 2026, in shā’ Allāh.

Completion of 30 Days of Ramadan

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم
الحمدُ للهِ ربِّ العالمين، والصلاةُ والسلامُ على سيدنا محمدٍ، وعلى آله وصحبِه أجمعين.

Assalāmu ‘alaikum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,

The Islamic Association of Western Suburbs Sydney (IAWSS) / Rooty Hill Masjid announces that no verified sighting of the crescent of Shawwāl was confirmed this evening across Australia and the surrounding region.

Accordingly, the month of Ramadan will complete 30 days, and Eid al‑Fiṭr will be on Saturday, 21 March 2026, in shā’ Allāh.

We ask Allah Almighty to accept our fasting, prayers, and devotion throughout this blessed month, and to grant the Ummah a joyful and blessed Eid.

Official Notice – Shawwāl Moon Sighting

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم

الحمدُ للهِ ربِّ العالمين، والصلاةُ والسلامُ على سيدنا محمدٍ، وعلى آله وصحبِه أجمعين.

Assalāmu ‘alaikum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,

The Islamic Association of Western Suburbs Sydney (IAWSS)/Rooty Hill Masjid informs the respected community that the regional moon sighting for the month of Shawwāl will be undertaken this evening, in coordination with recognised and reliable observers across Australia and the 3 hours region.

📢 A formal announcement regarding the sighting of the crescent and the commencement of Eid al‑Fiṭr will be issued between 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM tonight, or earlier should verified confirmation be received.

We ask Allah Almighty to accept the fasting, prayers, and righteous deeds of the Ummah, to unite our hearts upon guidance, and to grant a blessed and joyous Eid to all Muslims.
