📣 Parish Council Elections – 2025
The Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Sydney & Affiliated Regions announces that, by the grace of God, Parish Council Elections will take place on Sunday, 14 September 2025.

These elections occur every 3 years, as outlined in the constitution. The early election date ensures a smooth transition before the current term ends.

With heavy hearts we farewell unto eternal life, the soul of the beloved Tasoni Tafida, who faithfully served God with her beloved husband the Very Rev Fr Mina Nematalla to plant His church into this blessed land Australia.

Arrived Sydney with Fr Mina Nematalla OAM, 26 January 1969
Departed to Paradise 11 June 2025, aged 98.
Mother of Albert, Yvonne, Antoun, Edmond.
Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, pioneer of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Australia.

Condolences will be received by the family on Friday 13 June at 6 pm to 8pm.

The prayers of the Funeral will be on Monday, 16 June, 12 pm.

All services will be at Archangel Michael and Saint Bishoy Coptic Orthodox Church
