𝕃𝕒𝕤𝕥 𝕊𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪 Brian Vaatstra led us through Ephesians 3. We heard how God's great plan, once hidden but now revealed, is his grace for us in Christ, and is on display in his church! Not only that, but God's power is available for us - power the enables Christ to dwell in us, and us to grasp the reality of his love for us.
Praise God for his plan and power in Christ!

𝕃𝕒𝕤𝕥 𝕊𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪 we saw how Jesus has not only reconciled us to God; he has torn down the walls between us! He has created a new humanity, united in himself. Paul urges the Ephesians, and us, to remember the humbling reality of who they were, the amazing achievement of what Jesus has done, and the stunning reality of who they now are - fellow citizens, children of God, and his holy temple. Praise God for his grace in uniting us not only to himself but to one another in Christ!

𝕃𝕒𝕤𝕥 𝕊𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪 we reflected on the serious reality of life outside of Christ: dead in sin, enslaved to the world, the devil, and the flesh, and under the righteous judgment of God. But we also rejoiced in the amazing news that "because of his great love for us because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved!" (2:4-5)

Praise God for his astounding gift! May we be humbled by this grace, not holding on to any works we do before God. And may we be lifted up to the purpose and dignity of being God's handiwork - walking in the good works he has prepared for us.

Today we want to wish all the amazing mums a very Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸💛

As it says in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works.” May you be encouraged today knowing the love and care you give reflects God’s goodness in such a special way.

We hope you feel celebrated, appreciated and loved today! 🌷

𝕃𝕒𝕤𝕥 𝕊𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪 we heard Paul's heart-felt prayer for the Ephesians (& for us). He gives thanks for God's work in them. But he also knows that their deepest need is to grow in and live out of what they already have in Christ. And so he prays that they would know God more; that God would open the eyes of their hearts to know the promise and power and purpose that are theirs in Christ.

That same bright future hope and present power at work for the church is ours today! Let's join Paul in praying that God would reveal these realities to us more and more as we serve him together.

𝕃𝕒𝕤𝕥 𝕊𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪 we reflected on the majestic opening of Paul's letter to the Ephesians. We saw the big picture of what God is doing - it's all about Jesus! By his grace we are united 'in Christ', and have every spiritual blessing. In him we are chosen, adopted, forgiven, and sealed with his Holy Spirit - all "to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves" (1:6).

Last Sunday, we had the privilage of having John Warner join us from Bush Church Aid as he led us through the final message of our Easter Meet Jesus Series. We looked at the risen Lord of all history, fulfilling all the Scriptures in his death and resurrection, Jesus launched a global mission of good news to every nation. Jesus gives his disciples certainty of his resurrection through Peace, Plausibility, Purpose and Power.

𝕋𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕊𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪 | Alive in Chirst - Ephesians: Included In Christ (Ephesians 1:1-14)
Come along and join us this Sunday, as Duncan Andrews will be starting our new series for term two titled Alive in Christ - Ephesians.

Paul opens his letter by praising God for all he has given in Christ. Those who believe are chosen by God, united to Jesus, and adopted into his eternal, ‘sealed’ by the Holy Spirit. In Christ we receive every spiritual blessing: redemption, forgiveness, overflowing grace, and the knowledge of God's ultimate purpose to unite all things under Christ.

𝔾𝕠𝕠𝕕 𝔽𝕣𝕚𝕕𝕒𝕪 | Meet Jesus: The Saving King (Luke 22-23)
On Good Friday, Duncan led us through a time of reflection as we went through a cycle of readings, songs and prayers and short talks focussing on Jesus' Crucifixion. Jesus is the mighty ‘arm of the Lord’ (Isaiah 53:1), God’s power at work to save sinners. This great saving work was achieved through his suffering and death on the cross, dying in the place of his people.
