Great news! 🗞️🎉🥳 This week we heard we'll receive SERF funding to meet the extra expense of putting heat pump (most environmentally friendly) instead of instant gas hot water systems (cheapest) into the Zoe flats that are currently being refurbished. Thank you, wider Vic Uniting Church 😊🙏😇

The Synod of Victoria and Tasmania has once again demonstrated its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, resolving at Synod 2025 to continue its Synod Emission Reduction Fund (SERF).
The resolution means that every dollar provided to the fund by congregations, presbyteries or individuals will be matched by the Synod to double the impact.
SERF complements the Uniting Church in Australia's long-term goal of reducing our carbon footprint to net zero by 2040.
