The Revival Fellowship is a Bible-believing church with congregations throughout Australia,
and all over the world. The South Coast Revival Fellowship meets on a Sunday at the CWA rooms at 64 Queen Street,

We are a vibrant, spirit filled church family where you will hear inspiring teaching straight from
the Word of God. We are made up of individuals & families who enjoy the shared experience
of God’s life-changing power in our lives. We are a group of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life that love God and each other. In all
honesty, we’re more than a group – we’re a family – we know, care for and spend time with
each other. We enjoy time together, singing praise to God and learning from his word. As the name of our fellowship suggests, we stand for ‘revival’ – revival of people’s lives through
the Bible’s salvation message. Our desire is to share our stories: how we have experienced a fresh start; been filled with the
Holy Spirit, been healed by the power of God, and how our lives have been changed. Our vision is simply to live and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the expectation of the
Bible-specified ‘signs following’, as described in Mark 16:15-20. In doing so, we seek to make
known the full benefits of salvation to people all over the South Coast. We enjoy a range of activities and meetings.

Please get in contact if you’d like to learn more or feel free to drop in to one of our services. WHAT WE BELIEVE. We believe that true Christianity means getting back to Bible basics. Everything we need
is there — the message of The Bible should have nothing added, or taken away. True believers
will have the same experiences as the early Christian church. You can read about these
experiences in your own Bible, in the Book of Acts. We believe that becoming a born-again believer according to the words of Jesus in John 3:3-8
is a simple three-step process:
First, Repenting (realising that our natural life is not acceptable to God and asking him to give
us a spiritual life — see Mark 1:15). Second, being baptised by full immersion — right under the water. Jesus himself was baptised
this way as an example to others (Matt 3:13-17). Third, God promised to give the gift of the Holy Spirit — ‘the comforter’ (John 14:13-20) to
anyone who asks him. Jesus died so that this could be made available to us. God also promised
that when we were given the Holy Spirit there would be signs accompanying it, the physical sign
being that we would speak in a new language — ‘speaking in tongues’ (Mark 16:16-20). The early church began on the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was first given to believers
(Acts 1:4-5) and they spoke in tongues and were baptised. Throughout the Book of Acts you can
read of people who received the Holy Spirit with this same evidence, and it’s an experience all our
church members have had too. (Acts 2:1-4 and Acts 2:37-41).

The funeral service for John Kinkade was held yesterday, and it was a truly beautiful occasion.

The rain held off, allowing family and friends to gather in large numbers to honour and celebrate John's life. People travelled from the South Coast, Goulburn, Sydney and Canberra, a wonderful testimony to the love and respect so many held for him.

Those attending represented many different parts of John's life. Members of the Ulysses Bike Club South Coast and associates came to pay their respects, along with friends who had shared cycling adventures, work colleagues, cousins from Sydney, and church fellowship friends from the South Coast, Goulburn and Canberra. It was a moving sight to see such a diverse group united by their friendship and love for John.

Throughout the service, we reflected on the qualities that made John so special—his infectious laughter, warm smile, generous spirit and wonderful storytelling. Many shared memories of his remarkable resilience and the way he overcame life's many challenges with courage and determination.

At the graveside, former Revival Fellowship pastor Garry Hall from Goulburn delivered a heartfelt eulogy. He encouraged everyone present to follow John's example by seeking a real and living relationship with God through the Holy Spirit—a real experience that brings peace, hope and assurance beyond the grave.

The music was especially meaningful, featuring songs John had loved throughout his life before he lost his hearing. Among them was the timeless gospel favourite, He's Got the Whole World in His Hands, along with music from two of his favourite artists, Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.

Afterwards, we enjoyed time together sharing stories, laughter and treasured memories of a life well lived. While we will miss John deeply, we do not grieve without hope. We hold fast to God's promise that those who trust in Christ will live again, and we look forward to that glorious morning when Jesus returns and we are reunited.

John's life reminds us that faith in God is not only for this life—it is our sure hope for eternity, when we are sealed with God’s promise of the Holy Spirit.
May we all consider where we stand with God, for in Him alone is the peace and assurance that reaches beyond the grave.

Rest in peace, dear John. Until we meet again.

Today we remember our dear friend and brother in faith, John Kinkade, on what would have been his birthday.
In honour of John’s birthday, we’d like to share some of his remarkable story.

John's life was one of extraordinary courage, perseverance, and faith.
As a teenager, John was involved in a devastating car accident that claimed his father's life. John himself suffered severe burns over much of his body, spending years in hospital undergoing treatment, and was left profoundly deaf.
Despite enduring immense physical pain, lifelong disability, and the emotional weight of such a tragedy, John refused to let his circumstances define him. Instead, he became known for his determination to overcome every obstacle placed before him.

John embraced life with remarkable enthusiasm, riding and racing motorbikes, travelling extensively throughout the United States, and working as a truck driver in Sydney—achievements that reflected his resilience and determination.

John had a deep faith in God and often spoke of experiencing God's healing after a serious knee injury. Although his deafness initially made it difficult for him to engage fully in church, receiving double cochlear implants opened a new chapter in his life.
He was baptised by full immersion, received the Holy Spirit, and rejoiced in being able to hear himself speaking in tongues.

John became a much-loved member of our fellowship, especially among the South Coast Revival Fellowship group. He warmly shared his faith with everyone he met, speaking often of God's goodness and how grateful he was for the renewed purpose and hope he had found through his relationship with God.
John's story reminds us that even through unimaginable suffering, a life can be marked by courage, joy, faith, and love. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
A service to honour John’s life is on Monday 6th July at the Broulee Crematorium and Memorial Gardens, with a graveside service at 12 pm followed by refreshments in the Sidney room.

The South Coast Revival Fellowship is sad to announce that a dearly loved member of our church community John Kinkade, passed away suddenly at home, in Batemans Bay.

He was well known to many as a car enthusiast, a passionate push bike and motor bike rider, a great conversationalist and dear friend.

All those who knew John are invited to a service to commemorate his life.

Our dear Nan affectionately known as 'Flash' passed away recently at nearly 95 years of age. Nan was saved in 1957 and had a very full life in the fellowship. She loved to sing in the church with her banjo or ukulele. Flash will be missed, but for now is resting in the care of our Lord and Saviour until Jesus returns.
