Morley Salvos

Morley Salvos Morley Salvos is a community-focused church seeking to transform lives with the love of Jesus.

The Morley Salvation Army (WA, Australia) centre was opened in 1974 and right from the outset aimed to bring hope into people's lives. In 1999 the new community centre was built to better facilitate the community support services provided, which now includes youth and children's programs, welfare support, gatherings for seniors and an incredible Thrift Shop, among other things. One of Morley Corps past Corps Officers was promoted to glory. We give thanks for his leadership and celebrate a life lived for Jesus.

“Well done, good and faithful servant; enter into the joy of your Lord.” (Matthew 25:23)

Hi everyone 👋

A quick one to share with your communities ahead of Census night.

Census night is Tuesday 11 August, and if people in your community identify as a member of The Salvation Army, they can write it under “Other (specify)” when they get to question 24.

It’s a small action, but it helps make sure The Salvation Army in Australia is accurately represented and helps tell the story of who we are, where we show up, and the communities we’re part of 🙏❤️

Feel free to share this reminder with your page audience.

Davis shared a powerful message on Sunday about proclaiming the hope of Jesus.
He reminded us through 1 Peter that our faith isn’t just something we believe, it’s something we’re called to live and share. We should always be ready to give an answer for the hope we have, but to do so with gentleness, respect, and lives that reflect Christ.
“Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear...”
— 1 Peter 3:15–16 (NLT)
A challenging and encouraging reminder that the way we live can be one of the greatest testimonies to the hope we have in Jesus. 🙏

What a day at Morley Salvos! 🎉
Today we talked about what it means to live in the “in-between” — that awkward place where you’ve left one thing behind but haven’t quite arrived at where you’re heading.

We also stuck around to cheer on the Socceroos and celebrate an Aussie win! ⚽🇦🇺 The excitement was real.

Meanwhile, some of our beautiful girls headed off to Disney On Ice, and judging by the smiles, they were ready to sprinkle a little extra magic into the day. ✨❄️

If you’re looking for a bunch of wonderfully imperfect, slightly crazy people who love doing life together and believe Jesus can make a real difference, then come join our tribe.

We’re not perfect, but we are fun... and there’s a good chance you’ll leave with a smile, a laugh, and maybe even a new friend. ❤️

🚗⚡ Great Scott! Are You Stuck in the In-Between? ⚡🚗

Marty McFly had 88 miles per hour.

The Israelites had a pillar of cloud.
Both found themselves on a journey into an unknown future!

This Sunday we're jumping into the story of Exodus and exploring what happens when God leads us into those strange "Back to the Future" moments—when you're no longer where you were, but you're not quite where you're going.

⏰ What do you do when life feels stuck between chapters?
🧭 How do you trust God when the destination isn't clear?
🤝 And why does God often build the strongest community in the middle of the journey?

Whether you're feeling like Marty McFly, lost in time, or just trying to work out what God is doing next, we'd love you to join us.

⚡ No DeLorean required.☁️ Pillar of cloud optional.⚽ World Cup watch party vibes guaranteed.

Join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM📍 Morley Salvos

"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads..."...but we do need God's guidance.

🚗⚡ Back to the Future Series ⚡🚗

As we continue our journey, we’re firing up the DeLorean and travelling back to Luke 10:1–20—a time before church buildings, programs, and committees, when Jesus sent out 70 (or 72—depending on which timeline you’re reading ⏰) disciples into the towns and villages around them.

Jesus didn’t call His followers to stay put and wait for people to come to them. He sent them out 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ to build relationships, find “people of peace” ✌️, and share the good news where people already lived and worked.

This is what Alan Hirsch describes as the Missional–Incarnational Impulse—the idea that God’s people are sent people. The Missio Dei 🌍 reminds us that we are invited into the ongoing mission of God in the world.

The Great Commission calls us not only to gather believers, but to go and make disciples. Like Jesus, we are called to enter everyday spaces, be present, build relationships 🤝, and carry the good news into ordinary life.

As we revisit Luke 10 today, we’ll discover how the mission Jesus gave His first disciples continues to shape the future 🔮 of our mission in the community.

⚡ Great Scott! The future of the church may depend on remembering where we came from.
