Tomorrow is an exciting day to be at Church! We have a Baptism, Kids Church and Youth Connect are on, Worship, Michael is bringing the Word, coffee, food and fellowship afterwards. Don't forget to turn your clocks back an hour as Daylight Savings ends, and we will see you all in the morning!

This week we had our children pray and read scripture over us, heard amazing testimony of Gods faithfulness in Mark and Anne’s life and we continued in our series “Seeking Jesus”.

Phil walked us through the visits of the Shepards and Magi in the books of Luke and Matthew.
We saw different responses to the good news of King Jesus’ birth.

1️⃣ The Shepard’s worship of Jesus vs Religious Leader’s rejection of his kingship.

2️⃣The Magi’s sacrificial journey to see the newborn King vs Herod’s desperation to cling to his own kingship.

Our Challenge:

➡️Are you seeking the Messiah like the religious leaders, hoping for Jesus to free you from what ever your oppressed by? or like the shepherds and wise men, are you seeking Jesus to worship Him?
He is the Suffering Servant, Saviour King and the one who has restored relationship between God and people.

This coming Sunday is part 3 of the series and Michael will be preaching on Anna & Simeon and the way they were seeking Jesus. Everyone is welcome and we can’t wait to see you there!

This week we had a beautiful service in worship and our first sermon in the series leading up to Christmas “Seeking Jesus”

Mick laid the foundation for the series as we looked from Genesis through the Old Testament, to the arrival of the promised “Immanuel - God with us”

He took us through the:
➡️ Protoevangelium/First Gospel- Genesis 3:15
➡️Abrahamic Covenant- Genesis 12-17
➡️Davidic Covenant- 2 Samuel 7
➡️400 years of Silence - Malachi

We saw through this that God had a plan for redemption and to once again dwell with His people. He did this through a baby, born to a young girl called Mary and the promise that her son would be called Immanuel which means God with us!

This week Phil is bringing the word as we look at the Magi, Shepherds and King Herod as they each were seeking Jesus. We would love for you to join us this Sunday. Everyone is welcome 🎄

We are so thankful to Luke, Cara and their family for coming up from Coffs this Sunday. Luke preached that we as Gods people:

➡️ Are to live by Faith and not by sight.

➡️ Faith is measured by our response to God, rather than Gods response to us

➡️ To have an open heart to hear from the Holy Spirit as He speaks to each of us.

This Sunday we kick off the next sermon series “Seeking Jesus” in the lead up to Christmas. Everyone is welcome and we would love to see you.

Last Sunday the kids lead us in worship and how truly beautiful to see them serving and loving God and us. They also got up and helped Mick during his sermon demonstrate the difference between obedience in our own efforts vs obedience that’s grounded in and directed by God.

Mick brought The Word from 1 Samuel and reminded us that:

➡️Obedience to God is better than sacrifice BUT obedience to God still require sacrifice.

➡️We sacrifice not to find our identity but because we know our identity in God.

Well last Sunday Phil preached the second sermon in the series “It ain’t about the money”

He reminded us…
➡️ Everything God gives us is to be a blessing to those around us.
➡️ Regardless of whether we have little or a lot God asks us to faithful with what we have.
➡️ To be a people that mirror God in His generous nature.
➡️ To be a people that chase after God not money.

Such a great morning!
We heard testimony from Vera about the faithfulness of God, had a kids spot in which Poppy was asked to put her trust in Kietta even though the outcome looked impossible and Phil preached from Galatians 4 where He reminded us:

🔥That faith doesn’t just begin and end at salvation, God desires us to daily walk and grow in Him.
🔥To continue in our journey of faith.
🔥To lean on Gods promises.
🔥To stop striving, and surrender the unknown to God.
