We’re really excited to let you know that Shane Willard is coming to Lighthouse Church for a special evening!
Shane is an incredible Bible teacher with more than 20 years in ministry. He has a unique way of bringing Scripture to life—especially by looking at it through its original Hebraic lens—and he combines that with real insight from his background in psychology and theology. His messages are always practical, encouraging, and leave people feeling freer and closer to God.

Thank you to Ashlyn Vice, South Australian State Director of the Australian Christian Lobby, for delivering an insightful address at Lighthouse Church Moonta. It is essential for Christians to remain informed about government policies and legislative proposals that impact our values and communities.

The ACL continues to advocate diligently on critical issues in South Australia, including defending free speech and religious freedoms amid restrictions related to gender and conversion practices; opposing expansions of abortion access, such as late-term procedures and the blocking of conscience votes on fetal loss recognition; resisting efforts to decriminalise prostitution, which they argue exploits vulnerable individuals; protecting children from grooming and sexual exploitation through stronger safeguards against harmful influences in education and society; and challenging gender-affirming treatments for minors experiencing gender dysphoria, calling for bans on puberty blockers and a reversal of anti-conversion laws that limit open dialogue.

LightKids begins immediately after the worship time during our 10:00 a.m. service. This allows families to participate together in the opening worship, followed by dedicated Bible teaching, interactive activities, songs, games, and friendship-building for the children in a safe, age-appropriate environment.

The Australian Christian Lobby is a significant national organisation dedicated to advancing a Christian perspective on public policy and social issues, representing the voices of many Australian Christians in the political sphere.

Ashlyn brings valuable insight and experience as she serves in this leadership role for our state. Her visit provides an excellent opportunity for our congregation to hear directly about current matters affecting faith, family, and freedom in South Australia, and to be encouraged in our shared commitment to living out biblical values in today’s world.
