Next week almost 300 uni students from across Queensland are heading to Mt Tamborine for the Queensland chapter of the AFES National Training Event 2021.

Getting students transformed by the gospel, trained in the gospel, and sent with the gospel often requires not just prayer and great Bible teaching but also plenty of caffeine!

So we’ve recruited volunteers to run a coffee cart during NTE with all profits supporting a university missionary in the Myanmar Fellowship of Evangelical Students (who has just finished some training in Australia).

Here’s where you can help. We are looking for some AFES graduates and supporters to donate $100 each to cover the cost of coffee supplies so that 100% of sales during the week can go to mission. (And if we cover all our costs, anything extra will go to the work in Myanmar.)

Hey everyone,

Grade 12s will be finishing the year soon and to help promote AFES and help school leavers connect with AFES groups across different unis we're encouraging people to do school and youth group visits!

We'd love if you could consider visiting your old high schools (or even one you happen to be well connected with) and/or visit youth groups to inform them about UniConnect.

Hi AFESers, would you like an opportunity to serve the wider Brisbane Christian community? GROW Women's Conference is on 3rd September at Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler, and we're looking for:
-6 guys to be 'roadies', and unload sound gear (6am-8am);
-4-6 guys to load it back up again (3:30-6pm);
-10 ladies to help with registration and ushering (8:15am-9:30am for rego; 8:20am-3:30pm for ushering).
In thanks for your service, women can come to the conference at a discounted rate. Guys, sorry you can't really come to the conference, so we'll give you some chocolate (or chips/ some other kind of snack-food item of dubious nutritional content).
