Loneliness Awareness Week is a national campaign by peak body Ending Loneliness Together, aimed at creating opportunities for meaningful social connections.
A Community Morning Tea is being held on the verandah at Brisbane West Uniting Church on Monday 3rd August, 9am to 12noon. You are invited to come along, share in morning tea and meet some other locals through chatting, cards, boardgames and the like. See details below.

Since Pentecost Sunday, we as a Church have been gathering in prayer – creating space to listen to God, pray with and for one another, and be renewed together as the body of Christ.

In a time when many are carrying uncertainty, weariness, sadness and change, this shared journey of prayer has reminded us who we are: a people held together in Jesus Christ, living in the hope of his resurrection, and continually renewed by the Holy Spirit.

As this season concludes, President Rev Charissa Suli warmly invites members and leaders to gather online next Monday for an evening of prayer and celebration as we give thanks for God’s faithfulness and mark the 49th Anniversary of the Uniting Church in Australia.

Grazin' is on again this week with the awesome Freud Squad. There will be jazz to listen to and a fantastic line-up of dance tunes too. Come and have a lovely crepe to warm up then continuing warming up by dancing. (You can also bring your own dinner too.)

For the cooler months now we will also have tea and coffee along with the usual softdrinks for sale. (Free water always available.)

We will not only be celebrating the birth of ‘the church’ this year but also celebrating a belated 5th birthday as BWUC (with lots of cake)! 🎉🍰
