We celebrate Trinity Sunday, giving thanks for the mystery of God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three in perfect unity, pouring love into the world. May this day draw us deeper into God’s life, God’s grace, and God’s mission.

The Gift of the Spirit
Pentecost marks the day when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles, filling them with divine power and courage to proclaim the Gospel to all nations.
It is celebrated fifty days after Easter, symbolizing the birth of the Church and the beginning of its mission in the world.
“All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” — Acts 2 : 4
Reflection
The flames of Pentecost remind us that God’s Spirit still moves among us — igniting faith, inspiring unity, and calling each believer to witness with boldness and love.

Our Op Shop will be closed this coming Monday as we come together to honour and farewell a longstanding and deeply respected member of our congregation.

We appreciate your understanding during this time as we pause to remember their life, service, and the kindness they shared with so many.

We will reopen as usual on Tuesday. Thank you for your support and compassion.

On this ANZAC Day, we honour courage, sacrifice, and love that endures.

This memorial window — dedicated “To the Glory of God, in loving memory of our beloved sons Rolf Stanley & Geoffrey Ernest Jones, who gave their lives in the Great War 1914–1918” — shines with a quiet strength.
Its colours speak of hope.
Its symbols speak of faith.
Its light speaks of lives given in service of something greater than themselves.

As we pause today, may this window remind us that remembrance is not an obligation but a gift — a way of carrying forward the stories of those who walked before us.

Lest we forget.

The Second Sunday of Easter is the eighth day of Eastertide which focuses on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ celebrating the triumph of his resurrection and the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is literally 50 days of rejoicing. After the resurrection, Jesus spent forty days on earth before he ascended, and then there were ten more days after that before the Day of Pentecost. The biblical foundation comes from the Gospel of St John when Jesus appears to his disciples 8 days after his resurrection and invites Thomas to touch his wounds and proclaim "My Lord, My God". Eastertide reminds us the resurrection is not a one date event but one of great joy felt today.

Today Easter Sunday celebrates Jesus Christ’s resurrection, symbolizing victory over sin and death, renewal, and hope.

Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The term "Good Friday" is believed to have originated from the Middle English word "good," which meant "holy," reflecting the day's solemn nature. Despite its somberness, it is also seen as a day of redemption, as Jesus's death symbolizes hope and forgiveness for humanity.

“Maundy” simply means a command or instruction - it points to Jesus’ command to love one another. It is the Thursday before Easter Sunday and the first day of the Paschal Triduum — the three holiest days in the Christian calendar. Three events are commemorated from the night before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ: the Last Supper (the institution of the Eucharist), the washing of the disciples’ feet - (“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35) - and Christ’s lonely vigil in the Garden of Gethsemane.

This Sunday begins Holy Week with joyful shouts of “Hosanna!” and ends with the crowd crying “Crucify Him!”

Palm Sunday marks Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where people welcomed Him as a king, waving palm branches and praising God. Yet by Good Friday, the mood had shifted dramatically. The same voices that celebrated Him turned against Him, swayed by fear, misunderstanding, and unmet expectations.

This journey reminds us how quickly human hearts can change — and challenges us to remain steadfast in faith, not only in moments of joy and blessing, but also in times of trial and sacrifice.
