We pray for the Shurey family as they mourn the passing of Bob.
We thank God for his life and for all that he meant to the family of St Andrew’s. Bob was a committed member of our church, always ready to lend a hand, always fixing something, solving a problem or making sure that things ran smoothly. So much of what he did was simply part of his faithful service, often quietly and without fuss.
We thank God for his friendship, his practical care and his willingness to serve. He was loved by all at St Andrew’s, and his absence will be deeply felt. We pray that the memories of Bob, the things he did, the laughter shared and the many ways he contributed to the life of this church will bring comfort to those who grieve.
Surround Sandra and the entire Shurey family with your love. Give them strength for the days ahead, comfort in their sadness, and peace in the knowledge that Bob's life has been a blessing to so many.

Prayer for Those Affected by Su***de

Merciful God,
we remember those who have died by su***de.
Hold them in your loving mercy and grant them peace.

Comfort their families and friends who carry grief,
and be near to all who are struggling with pain, loneliness or despair.

Help us to be people of compassion,
ready to listen, support and offer hope to those who need it.

May your love bring healing, comfort and peace to all who are affected.

Amen.

Psalm 133:1: "How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!"

A Wonderful Sunday of Worship & Celebration at Irymple!

What a wonderful morning it was as the congregations of Sunraysia came together for a special time of worship, unity and celebration.

We celebrated a well-deserved Appreciation Certificate for Lyn Adams, recognising her tireless commitment, dedication and many years of service to the church.

We also shared in the joy of the baptism of beautiful baby Telisia, a very special moment for her family and our church community.

Rev. Mark Boyce led the service, centred around the theme of unity, and we were privileged to welcome the Moderator of Victoria and Tasmania, Rev. Salesi Faupula, who shared an uplifting and inspiring message encouraging us to continue working together in faith and fellowship.

Readings and prayers were led by members from each congregation, making it truly a shared service.

The church was filled with the joyful and harmonious singing of the Tongan choir and congregation, creating a beautiful atmosphere of praise and celebration.

And, of course, after the service we were treated to the usual warm Tongan hospitality, along with the wonderful celebration of Telisia’s baptism.

A beautiful day of worship, fellowship, unity and joy. Together, we are stronger! ❤️

As we hear of the devastating floods in Nepal, we pause in sorrow and solidarity with all those affected. In the face of lives lost, families separated and communities facing profound uncertainty, we turn to God in prayer. We pray for those who grieve, those still waiting for news, and all who are working to bring rescue, care and hope.

God of compassion and mercy,

We hold before you the people of Nepal following the devastating flash floods in the Bhote Koshi River area.

We grieve with those who have lost loved ones. We pray for the many who are still missing, local people and visitors alike, for families waiting anxiously for news, for those who have been injured or displaced, and for communities facing such immense loss.

Draw near, O God.

Where there is grief, bring comfort.
Where there is fear, bring courage.
Where there is exhaustion, bring strength.
And in these difficult hours of searching and waiting, sustain hope.

We pray for all involved in search and rescue, evacuation, medical care and relief. Protect and strengthen them. Give wisdom to those coordinating the response, and may help reach those who need it most.

Jesus Christ, you entered into the suffering of our world and showed us a love that draws near. Draw near now to the people of Nepal in their suffering.

By your Spirit, weave together communities of care and compassion. Strengthen neighbours supporting one another, families holding one another close, and all who are offering shelter, comfort and hope.

God of life, we entrust to your mercy all who have died. Hold those who mourn. Be near to those still waiting for news. Strengthen all whose lives and livelihoods have been devastated by this disaster, and sustain them through the long journey of recovery.

Hold the people of Nepal in your love —
the love of the crucified and risen Christ,
a love that crosses every boundary,
a love that will not let us go.

Amen.
