Have you noticed a change in the weather?

It's around the start of June that we enter the coldest and wettest time of the year in and around Boorloo. This season is marked by the emergence of the blueberry lily and purple flags, while we will see ‘wardongs’ (ravens) pair up and ‘Mali’ (black swans) gather as they prepare to nest and breed.

We had such a joy-filled celebration of the Ascension Church Community on Ascension Day last Sunday. More than 60 people of all ages in the church and hall afterwards for lunch. Thanks to all who came and contributed.

Eight of us gathered for a beautiful contemplative Evening Prayer service last night to celebrate Ascension Day. On Sunday we will have the full parish celebration of our "patronal" festival with a eucharistic service followed by a bring-and-share lunch. It's great being Ascension Church!

We’re counting down to DV Aware Sunday (May 3).

This is a day to raise awareness,and to help fund the work of preventing domestic and family violence and supporting those affected.

People of faith are not immune, and we know there is still much to learn and much to do.

You don’t have to wait until Sunday to help. Giving ahead of the day can be a quiet encouragement to others, helping to build momentum and reminding others that this matters.
