To the Christians 20/30 Community, we trust you are all doing well and staying strong in the Lord.
It has been a rough couple of years for all of us due to recent events which have impacted us all in many and varied ways.
One of the ‘life lessons’ that has been learnt over this period is that UNITY is imperative, we are more resilient than we think and that seeking and being in God's Presence is our lifeline.
It is with heaviness of heart, as Christians 20/30 Administrators, we have had to make the tough decision to close our social media pages down. The current environment, including restrictions, have changed the way we communicate and gather, therefore the Christians 20/30 platform will be shut-down.
We have thoroughly enjoyed being part of this community, arranging events and meeting all you wonderful people.
We are reminded in Hebrews 10:25, to not give up meeting together and if you have not done so already, we strongly encourage you to get connected with a local church as we have all learnt that UNITY gives us strength.

I heard a statistic today that blew my mind. Jesus was asked 183 questions but only directly responded to 3! Jesus asked 307 questions in various scenarios. He is a great listener and was a great example of how to do this practically.
We live in world right now where we want to say the things on our mind quickly. We fail to listen intently.
Perhaps if we were quick to listen and slow to speak, our conversations and verbal thought bubbles would be more meaningful and fruitful.

In the world right now, there is so much noise. Everybody has a stance on how things should be and we are all getting a little frustrated. It's ok.

We will get offended, even if you think you are the most relaxed individual. How you deal with offence is in your hands.

The bible guides us to be quick to listen and slow to speak. A timely reminder for how Gods people should respond.

Someone needs to hear this today. Your current circumstances don't determine God's plan over your life. You are in His plan A there is no B or C. The road you are on might seem disastrous, at an end, without hope but he always makes a way when there seems to be no way. He was able to open the sea for his people to walk through. Don't doubt what he can do today. When your natural eyes can't see, look up and declare your trust in him.

Gratitude has been directly linked to increased happiness. Scientific research has shown gratitude affects the brain’s reward system. It correlates with the release of dopamine and serotonin.

There have been many studies on a practice called the “three blessings exercise.” Every night for a week, you write down three things you are thankful for. People who complete this exercise tend to report more happiness and less depressive symptoms. Their improved mood can last up to six months.

Sounds familiar to biblical principles of thankfulness, doesn’t it? God’s word teaches us to be thankful, rejoice always, have a heart of gratitude, encourage others, enter His courts with praise. The list goes on.
The promise is this, do these things and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds. Give it a go.

Getting into a pattern is easy. You don't have to think, you just do. When it seems so many people around you are all doing and thinking the same, then it makes it easier to keep going with the patterns. We are asked to do the opposite.

Romans 12v2 says "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

That takes effort. Transformation is a process, it just doesn't happen overnight. Maybe it's time we "feed" our mind with His word and allow that to start the Transformation process.

Christine Caine recently posted a message titled "When we pray" around the verse which says, "I tell you, you can pray for anything and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours" Mark 11:24.
The message is encouraging. Prayer is powerful. Dont underestimate what it does.
Pray today while you have breath in your lungs.

If God has said it, He will do it. His word is final.

Your age doesn’t negate His purpose. Your circumstances don’t limit His plans. Your mistakes can’t stop His power. What is impossible with men is still possible with God.

Today, choose to let the opinions of others and your personal doubts take a back seat to the truth, promise, and power of God’s Word!

The dictionary explains the meaning of UNITY as “the state of being united or joined as a whole”. It doesn’t mean being the same, wearing the same clothes, hanging out at the same coffee shops or with same friends. It is simply being united for a same cause, purpose, goal.

It is certainly difficult to like people that are very different to us but how pleasing is it to our father when we live in unity, when we uniquely care for those that love Him. They may be different to you but that is not an excuse to avoid, cast away and not care.

The Lord bestows His blessing when we live in UNITY.
