For our next sermon series here at ABC, we are shifting our focus to the book of Nehemiah.

Nehemiah is not a book we’re very familiar with because it’s not an easy book. It's a book you read when you're standing in the rubble of something that used to matter, wondering if it's even worth trying to put the pieces back together.

This series is about what it takes to rebuild when the opposition is loud, when your own people are part of the problem, and when the work itself is so unglamorous that no one will write songs about it.

Join us from Sunday August 9, as we begin our seven week journey through the book of Nehemiah.

Moving on from our series on parables, this Sunday we will be exploring the idea of the seasons of life.

Drawing on the poem ‘A Time for Everything’ (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8), we will hear experiences from people within our church community and take time to reflect on the wisdom central to this text through prayer, worship and conversation.

This week we have the pleasure of welcoming Reverend David Enticott to ABC, who will be speaking on the Parable of the Lost Son (Luke 15:11-32).

David serves as the Senior Pastor of Rosanna Baptist Church in Melbourne, bringing a wealth of experience from both local parish ministry and specialised military service. A former Defence Chaplain with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), David transitioned into chaplaincy in 2016, where he provided spiritual and emotional support to personnel and their families. Now back in a local leadership role, he integrates his background in pastoral care and high-pressure environments to foster a supportive, community-focused congregation in the Ivanhoe and Heidelberg areas.
