Our community acknowledged an important day today, Overdose Awareness Day. A time to honour and remember people who have died from overdose.

The day is also a call to action to learn how we can keep people safe and prevent overdose.

Join with us on Monday August 31, as we acknowledge International Overdose Awareness Day. A time to remember loved ones affected by overdose. Details are below.

For International Overdose Awareness Day this year, YDHF is partnering with the Salvation Army, North Richmond, to remember those who have lost their lives to overdose, to support their family and friends and to raise awareness about this preventable loss of life.
We will be joined by the wonderful Dr. Annie Madden AO, Executive Officer of Harm Reduction Australia, and Associate Editor – Community-led & Peer Involved Research, Harm Reduction Journal.
Annie's local and international experience, and her advocacy for the rights of people with living experience will make this a very special event.
Monday 31st August, 12 noon - 1.30pm.

We were honoured to be part of the **2026 Melbourne Taiwan Beef Noodle Festival**, joining over 400 community members to celebrate Taiwanese culture through food, friendship, and connection.

Day 2 of our intersection fundraising appeal is complete, and our hearts are full of gratitude. We thank God for the beautiful weather and for making the day run smoothly. A heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers and to every generous driver who stopped to support us.
