St Michael’s is recognised as an Open and Affirming congregation for LGBTQIA+ people by the Uniting Network Australia, the national network for LGBTQIA+ people, families, friends, and supporters within the Uniting Church in Australia. St Michael’s recently approved Environmental Action Plan, the church has joined the ARRCC, a grassroots organisation that mobilises people of all faiths to take effective action for climate justice. The organ pipes have been reinstalled and they are positively gleaming.
While the 'Revitalisation with Purpose' project is ongoing, we are in the final stages.
What we are excited about is how accessible the church is!
We have a revised entryway and flooring for full wheelchair accessibility to the lower auditorium, Modern ambulant and gender-neutral bathroom facilities (with an indoor entry), a refurbished organ console and pipes and updated assistive listening powered by Auracast technology.
We are looking forward to showing you more as it happens.
