Tecoma Uniting Church

Tecoma Uniting Church We are an inclusive and supportive
Christian community Church committed to social justice. Located in Tecoma in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges.

We gather at 10am on Sunday mornings. All are welcome. TUC acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters of Australia and the Torres Strait. We respect all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people - their customs and their beliefs. We also pay our respects to Elders past and present and future with particular acknowledgement to the Wurundgeri people of the Kulin nation, the tradi

tional owners of the lands where our church is located. We are a Christian Church committed to serving our local community and supporting all sorts of other groups doing likewise. The wisdom and teachings of Jesus are at the heart of the Tecoma Uniting Church. These teachings include deep listening, compassion, hospitality, justice and loving one another, especially marginalised people. The TUC community includes many followers of Jesus as well as those who, amongst other core beliefs, simply love the teachings of Jesus. We welcome everyone and are open to listen and give space to all spiritual understandings.

Volunteer Sunday - May 31st

Sunday 31st May is our Volunteer Sunday this year!

We will celebrate it on the back of Volunteer Week and use it as a chance to acknowledge all who make TUC tick.

In previous years, we have held a morning tea. This year, we are having a lunch in the chapel following the service from 11.30am to 1.00pm. It will be a great way to value all the contributions people make, and to appreciate what we create together.

All are welcome! There will be a wide range of food catering to a diversity of dietary needs.

National Sorry Day takes place annually on May 26. It is a significant day of remembrance across Australia dedicated to acknowledging the painful history and lasting impacts of the Stolen Generations—Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were forcibly removed from their families.
We remember and we are sorry this happened.

International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination
May 17 marks the date in 1990 that homosexuality was removed from the WHO Classification of Diseases.
Over three decades later, LGBTQIA+ communities still face discrimination – but every one of us can make a difference.
Will you stand against discrimination? Will you be a good ally?
We will celebrate our Q***r community THIS Sunday. Wear your rainbows, wave your flags. All welcome.
