Tonight, we gathered together to learn about the biblical meaning of prayer, why we pray, and how we should pray.

Prayer is more than simply asking God for what we need. Prayer is coming before God in relationship worshipping Him, thanking Him, confessing our sins, bringing our needs to Him, seeking His will, and trusting Him.

The Bible teaches us to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.” Matthew 6:33

Prayer is not about changing God’s will to match ours. It is about drawing closer to God and allowing Him to change our hearts, strengthen our faith, and guide our lives.

May prayer become more than something we do when we need help. May it become a daily relationship with God where we seek Him first in everything.

Let us continue to pray, seek God, and grow together in faith.
