The Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal Weekend has concluded for another year, and those on the frontline are telling stories of meaningful connections with members of the public.

“There is always someone that comes up and tells us a story of how the Salvos has helped them or someone they know, I love it!” One volunteer said, after their collecting shift on the weekend. To read Lauren Martin's wrap-up, click on the image below.

Born from a simple idea at North Brisbane Corps (Qld), Brick Masters is a kids' club for children in grades two to six. It uses the universal appeal of Lego to bring young people together, and to open doors to faith and Jesus. The program blends fun building challenges with meaningful themes drawn from The Salvation Army's 𝐾𝑖𝑑𝑧𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑀𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑧𝑖𝑛𝑒, and is proving that something as simple as a handful of bricks can build far more than just creations.

Salvos were out and about over the Red Shield Appeal Weekend, donning red and white to engage with communities by hosting BBQs and cake stalls, and raising much needed funds to continue supporting the most vulnerable across Australia. The Doorknock now takes various forms, with collectors present on street corners, in shopping centres, at Bunnings, parks and many more locations around the Territory. Here is a wrap-up from these events, can you recognise any familiar faces?
