Heya church!

Just a quick reminder that we're going to be gathering tonight in the Cantonese Hall to pray as a church family. We'll be spending most of our time reflecting on Paul's most wonderful prayer in Ephesians 3:14-21. Using it as a guide to help us to pray personally, to pray for one another, to pray for the church and to pray for our world!

Hope you can join us as we speak to our Father in heaven as His children!

☀️ This Sunday at church — here's what's coming up!

We're so glad to have Rev. Jono back from holidays and in the pulpit this week! He'll be preaching from 1 Samuel 8: "Give us a King!" — a really powerful passage we're looking forward to digging into together.

📋 After service, our AGM is kicking off! CCCV members: grab your lunch and make your way to the main Cantonese Hall.

See you Sunday! 🙌

Good morning church fam!

We know it’s early — but here’s a little preview of what’s coming up over the next couple of Sundays while Rev. Jono and his family are away. We’re so excited and thankful for the guest speakers who’ll be opening God’s Word for us!

📍 Sunday 17 May — Daniel Kong
Daniel is the current AFES staff team leader at Deakin Uni Burwood, and this will be the 3rd time he’s come to speak at LifeSpring!

📍 Sunday 24 May — Christian Pakpahan
Christian is the Associate Pastor at Rock City Church (our neighbours at the Nunawading Community Hub). This will be the first time Christian is preaching to us, though their senior pastor, Ps. Ferdy has visited us several times before!

We’d love to encourage you to come along, welcome them warmly, and sit under God’s Word together over these next two Sundays.

Good morning church!!

So, this Sunday, we're into week 2 of our series looking at the life of David through the books of 1 and 2 Samuel.

As mentioned on Sunday, it's going to be a little bit until we reach David. This Sunday, we're going to be looking at the call of God on the prophet Samuel's life (the one who would go on to anoint David as King). As God breaks His silence to usher in a new era in the nation of Israel.

Join us on Sunday at 11am as we hear God speak to us in His Word. Via this story in which God speaks to Samuel.

Oh, and don't forget about the CCCV members forum that's happening straight after service in our church foyer. A great chance to meet the candidates that you'll be voting for at the upcoming AGM. As well as to ask any questions about church matters that you may have!

Could this be the next step God is calling you to consider?

Any questions, please feel free to chat with Rev. Jono (previous alumni!)

Good morning, church!

Just to let you know that this Sunday, we are starting a brand new sermon series looking at the life of David - one of the greatest, if not the greatest, kings of the nation of Israel.

It is a story filled with victory and triumph, as well as a life marked by sin, failure, and family dysfunction.

As we see this shepherd boy who would become the shepherd-king of God's people. A story that is designed to help us to see our God more clearly. Our true shepherd. Our ultimate Saviour-King.

Lots to explore. Would you join us this Sunday as we begin this journey together!

Good morning, church!

Just a quick reminder that this Sunday is our 42nd Anniversary Service 🎉 As one church family, we’ll be celebrating the Lord’s faithfulness together with the wider CCCV community.

Because we’re expecting a larger crowd, the service will be held offsite at Mullauna College (456 Springfield Rd, Mitcham).

The service starts at 11am sharp, so come a little early—parking on site is limited, and you’ll likely need to park on nearby streets.

Parents of young children: kids will join us for the first part of the service before heading off to their JaM and Junior Church programs.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Good morning church!

Just a few more sleeps until we gather again!

This Sunday there are a few things to look forward to.
1) Cherished Women's Ministry "Breakfast in the Psalms" at 9am in the Nunawading Community Hub.

Don't forget to RSVP to Michelle, Leanne or Wendy for catering purposes.

2) Ruth chapter 3
This Sunday we are back in the book of Ruth. We'll be looking at chapter 3 via a sermon titled "The Plan, Pursuit and the Promise".

Make sure you read ahead so that you're ready for the message on Sunday. It's a beautiful passage as well as the most challenging one as well!

Lot's to look forward to. We'll hopefully see you on Sunday!

Easter is just around the corner, and we’d love you to join us at LifeSpring as we reflect on the cross of Christ and celebrate the hope of the resurrection!

Here’s what’s coming up:

- Maundy Thursday (7:30pm, 2 April) – A quiet start as we enter into a time of fasting together;
- Good Friday (6:00pm, 3 April) – A time to reflect on the love of God shown to us in Jesus. The sermon will be evangelistic in nature based on Luke 15:11–32. The service will be followed by a potluck dinner;
- Easter Sunday (11:00am, 5 April) – Celebrating the risen Jesus from John 20:1–18, with testimonies from those who are getting baptised and confirmed;
- Baptisms (2:30pm, 5 April) – Join us as we celebrate new life together!

Whether you’re exploring faith or have been part of church for years, you’re so welcome to come along.

Come and discover (or rediscover) the hope of Easter with us this Easter weekend!
