Dear Community & Friends,
Melbourne River Sangha is a lay practiticing community formally established in 2010 in the tradition of the late Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, who has devoted his life to the practice, teaching and promotion of mindfulness to achieve peace and happiness. We meet twice weekly on Monday morning at 6am and Tuesday evening at 7pm to support each other in our practic
e of mindfulness. Leading the community is Harry Huy Nguyen (Chan Hy Son- True Joyful Mountain) (Brother Mountain) who was ordained with Thich Nhat Hanh as a Lay Brother of the Order of Interbeing in 2002. The Community also have a Committee of solid practitioners who facilitates the practice sessions. If you would like more information or be apart our community, please join our mailing list on our website melbourneriversangha.com.au. Our activities vary a little each week, but always include sitting meditation, walking meditation, a cup of tea, and dharma sharing. We look forward to practicing with you.
